Virginia ABC Store

This store is small but new and bright and airy. It's in a prime location in town center near Pottery Barn and Cold Pressed.Parking is street right in front. Easy in and out last weekend for some essentials. Standard visit but easy as pie!

This ABC store located in Town Center is one of the newer expansions for the state liquor monopoly. If your going to buy booze you have one option and it's ABC. Two hour parking is off street or nearby garage that's FREE! The area is nicely kept with sidewalks power washed weekly and windows washed weekly. I did spot debris outside their door however on my most recent visit. On November 10th the state of Virginia had a special bourbon release across the state. Formerly lottery bottles were available in all stores across the Old Dominion. I lined up early on a beautiful Fall day with others that became friends after six hours. The manager peeked out at around 8 AM and gave numbers out. She was terrific. I was #4 for Wellers Full Proof. It's retail $50, on the secondary market hundreds. At noon when the store opened everything was orderly and checkout was smooth. The cashier was friendly and wore a mask. The store is a smaller floor plan, but packs a punch on inventory, especially bourbon. It was a fun day learning more about bourbon and how to locate rare bottles from new friends that were much more knowledgeable than I. The Weller was incredible by the way.

So surprised there's no page (that I could find) of this location, but it is brand new and so much needed in VB Town Center! On the strip leading right up to the fountain, so there is street parking right in front of it then the garages nearby. Came in & though I wasn't greeted, the employee was extremely helpful! I kept going in between buying premixed pina colada & margarita drinks or just buying the mix + liquor separately. The employee helped me to decide that separately was best so I could manage the amount of liquor I wanted. She also helped me pick a good rum and tequila to go with. Checkout was smooth with some nice conversation. Extremely clean store that is well lit + organized. So glad to have this location nearby!

I had to walk out of this store. It smelled straight up like a unkept pet store. I'm exaggerate not. I tried to shop but the smell overwhelmed me.
