Virginia ABC Store

This ABC store is the closest to where I live, so I tend to default here out of pure convenience. It's somewhat on the small side, although most of the ABC stores in town tend to be pretty small so that's not saying much. The staff are always really nice and tend to know some of the "regulars". At least, I've heard them address people by name at times while I've been there, so I'm guessing they must be frequent customers. Regardless, I always feel welcome at this liquor store, whereas I've felt judged and "stared down" at other locations in the past. I've never found any of that uncomfortableness here, though! They may not have the largest selection of liquor, but they have more than just the basics and it's super easy to pop in and out on a whim. Parking isn't usually as issue, but if you hit it at a busy time, there's a chance you might have to part in the adjacent lot. It's happened to me before, but it's certainly not the end of the world. They have a solid variety of bourbons, and they stock all of my favorite vodkas, so I'm a fan.

Looking for a few name brands of bourbon. ABC has a convoluted system about certain brands. They will not tell you when the next shipment will arrive. If they have received a few cartons of a brand they doNot put them on the floor for several days and will not tell customers when that date is.
