Virginia ABC Store

I was surprised to find this ABC store wasn't on Yelp yet because it's been here for years and is centrally located. It was pristinely stocked, had a plentiful selection, and the staff was "Absolut"ly friendly and helpful! We were planning a party for a friend. We went in to purchase those tiny little bottles of booze to fill up a piñata (see? even grownups can play this game lol!) so we had to stick with the plastic bottles. The salesclerk came over and assisted us with our selections. The manager told us about the sales, he gave us some recipe ideas and we all had a nice chat while shopping. Check out was a breeze, maybe I should say a "sea breeze". Pop in here for your next hooch hookup...

I think this is the location that has moved. It moved next to the grocery store in the same shopping center so I think the address is different now.When I walked in after their remodel, angels sang, a bright light came on and I spun around in circles smiling with happiness as I couldn't believe my eyes. Okay, that's a little dramatic but that's what happened in my head as I've never laid eyes on such a beautiful ABC store! I'm used to the boring aisles with bottles lined up, uncomfortable mirrors so the clerks make sure no one is stealing and pretty much no décor other than some random cardboard advertisements for liquor but NOT THIS PLACE!They had a beautiful set up of seasonal liquor displayed at the entrance. A tasting bar built in. A beautiful display of airplane bottles on one wall and actual décor on the walls that made me want to say "I'LL TAKE ONE OF EVERYTHING!". If that wasn't enough, a salesman asked if I needed help and when they couldn't locate a bottle of pumpkin liqueur that I needed, he called a location down the street and had them hold it for me. Way to go ABC store, now if you renovate all locations like this, I'll be speechless!

This ABC is ther most modern and nicest ABC I have ever been in. They have a great selection of liquor but what I love is the free tastings on the weekends. Im a bourbon guy and yes, they have almost everything you want.

As Yelp Elite, Katie B said it's hard not to spin around smiling when you walk into this location! I had to make quick ABC run while on my lunch break and this ABC store is wonderful. I agree with Katie B as well as I think the location has changed and the address needs to be updated.The store is clean, well laid out, decorated so you don't feel like a criminal when you walk into the store. It makes it a much more enjoyable experience then other stores where I feel like I need to get in and out of the store as quickly as possible. It is easy to find what you are looking for and the staff is helpful. I left this store with much more than I intended too..oops!

The staff here are super nice. I went in on a Sunday and several items had not been stocked back on the shelves and they were so nice to go to the back and bring them out for me. They also helped me find two items on my list.

It would be EXTREMELY helpful if you listed the times you are open!!! We do not live in the state so we are not used to having to look around to buy alcohol. We can buy it in a grocery store anytime we want!!!
