Virginia ABC Store

Located across the street from Oceanview Beach in a vibrant strip with Harris Teeter and Rite Aid. The store has signage but it's on the building and difficult to see behind the Burger King. The Oceanview shopping center sign is easy to locate and the main entrance is by the sign. Parking is plentiful and the lot clean.The store is pretty small and it's in an older strip. However, it's clean with plenty of natural light. I think most customers can find what they need with a variety of spirits offered. The bourbon area was good size and fully stocked with the truck delivery arriving that morning. I asked the manager Charity about a few hard to find bourbons which they did not have. Since I had the time she did tell me that bourbon was her specialty and pointed out several of her favorites. Her knowledge was great! I left empty handed which does not occur often. However, I liked the store and area. Although it's about 20 minutes from my house I probably will return with excellent customer service.

I thoroughly enjoyed visiting my local ABC store. Out of all the ABC stores I've visited in the Norfolk area this store is the best as it relates to the staff. Somehow this store continues to hire the friendliest most helpful people. I mean everyone! It doesn't matter male or female, no matter what the race, I'll always get service with a smile. I think that is extremely important to mention as today's world is so full of negativity. The rating however is lacking one star because I can never really find exactly what I am looking for. If they do have what I'm looking for it's not in the size that I want. Maybe other people are beating me to the punch. In any case anytime I need to stock up my bar this is where you can find me.

Well things have gotten better, in that I got lucky Monday mid-day. Eagle rare was delivered and I scored the last one of the 12 or so bottles...and was a 750ml not one of those bitsy 500ml that had to suffice on an earlier visit. Sadly still plenty of empty shelves amongst the bourbons.
