Virginia ABC Store

The Virginia ABC store on Sam's Drive in the heart of Chesapeake is one of the better stores in the area.They have a decent selection of bourbon available as well as many other spirits.The staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the various products. It can get hectic during the special allocation drops because of the way they handle things. People start lining up very early on drop day, so either get there early or be prepared to wait in a long line. That goes for everyone, it doesn't matter if you're the town drunk just looking to pick up a pint of your favorite rot gut booze, the line starts way back there... too harsh? You wouldn't believe some of the things I've seen on drop day.

I've been to this store a few times and it's been consistently average so a 3 seems to fit it best. I shopped them in the last 45 days and found little selection. The store is located off Battlefield Blvd. you must enter Sams Club and it's a side small strip. It's easy to overlook. Customers will enjoy plenty of parking. The lot was debris free as the walk up on my visits. I found a few harder to find bottles here and was pleased. The store is clean and organized. The staff meh. Checkouts were professional just not as friendly as I would hope for. I would return to this location for the right products, but since it's not close to my house I would not be a regular.
