Vinny's Pizza & Pasta

One of me and my kids favorite spots for Italian. We opted for two small pizzas and some pasta on this occasion as there were only 3 of us eating. The white pizza was good in the restaurant and the leftovers heated well too at home. Our waitress was very friendly and quick to get us water and our orders. Granted it wasn't that busy but her service was great. When the restaurant is very busy it can be a little noisy with all the conversations going on. But it was perfect when we ate there on this occasion. I didn't include the pics (cause we ate them so fast) but the cannolis are delicious. They offer these in two sizes - mini and regular. We opted for a few minis but either way you won't be disappointed. They have a Vinny's rewards to where you get points for each dollar purchased- I love places that do this.

Vinnys Pizza and Pasta has been around for quite a few years, and have been in their 2 locations on J Clyde and 17 for years . On J Clyde they occupy what was once a Mexican Restaurant among other things and they retain a tiki type roof. Inside they often have a number of pizzas on display. Their pizza is unique and very tasty. On my recent visit with my 2 granddaughters we stopped so #1 could get her favorite fried ravioli. Our server was as sweet and friendly as can be. She brought coloring sheets and crayons and brought out their food quickly. My small calzone, which overtook the plate took a little while to prepare and bake, and the huge portion was delicious! The iced tea was freshly brewed. The price point was moderate. This was my second visit to Vinnys and first at this location in the past 2 weeks or so. The food is consistent at both locations, and the menu is diverse. Everyone can find something to order!

I've Had My Share Of Pizza, I Know A Good One When I Taste It But Man, This Pizza Is Amazing. Best Pizza I've Ever Had In America. You Can Tell It's Made With Care And They Love What They Do! I Would Take This Pizza Over Any Other Pizza. Customer Service Is Pretty Fast And The Staff Is Always Nice. Man And The Garlic Bread Is Awesome.

Ordered Italian hoagie and Texas fries. This was the driest Italian I've ever had. Wanted to try the Texas fries. Not worth the price. Save your money and eat elsewhere. Used to love this place and haven't been there in a while and now not sure we'll be back. Husband said if wanted a sandwich on dry old bread and no condiments he could have done that by himself. Very disappointing

over the years I have come here for a quick lunch with my team that works in the area. Its clean, service is fast and friendly, and for the most art the food is pretty good, not out of this world great, but comfortably good (top 10% of places I go). Had the chicken Cheese steak with the works. Portions are a touch light for the price, but I probally would over-eat anyway. generally always a safe bet, much better than any of the chain fast food joints, and just as fast. they are a member of the dining rewards program if you use that, so I get a few United miles. 1 for 1.

This is my favorite pizza and pasta place. I moved away in 2016 and have not found anywhere in my new city to compare. I make sure that when I am visiting my family that I make a stop here. I order the pizza, past, calzones, salads, and sandwiches, so no matter what you order you will be satisfied. Each location is great! They always have good service and friendly staff. If you haven't tried Vinny's yet you are definitely missing out.

This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in the Newport News area.The cleanliness is impeccable & the service is always prompt & courteous . There are 3 restaurants in the area & a take out on Warwick Blvd in Newport News across from Todd's Stadium. The owner is usually on site in the J Clyde establishment. The food is never a disappointment. Their chicken noodle soup is delicious.& the pan pizza is to die for!

This was the first location that opened. They are still just as good as the day they have open with high-quality pizza and other pasta dishes, good and excellent salad and the service is always friendly and the prices are pretty decent.

Best pizza in the area so far that we have tried! Has a lot of flavor. Garlic knots are also very tasty. They also make little Italian donuts you can get a dozen or half dozen. I often wear my Vinny's pizza tshirt out in public to support their business because we love it so much. The only drawback is the restaurant. It can be exceptionally loud if it's a full house and if you are going to expect to watch anything on their televisions in the restaurant make sure you get there early to scope out the seating areas for the televisions, as the TVs are not positioned for optimal viewing for every seating area. We have been here at least a dozen times in the last 2 years and the service has always been great, even when busy. Of course sometimes it takes a bit longer to get your food when it's busy, but that's hard to criticize and knock off a star when the food is so good. It's worth the wait. I also believe both locations in Newport News have drive thru pick-up. That's extremely convenient!
