I see Vicki Vail's out and about at local breweries and other events in Hampton Roads. A couple weeks ago at Green Flash was my first time to enjoy their food. What better place to grab a burger and brew with a friend.Their menu is mainly comprised of burgers. You can find other items too! But don't expect a wide variety based on my experiences. I've seen Nachos and bratwurst. The truck is an attractive red.My interaction with the male staffer was very friendly. The family is originally from Minnesota which is an influence on one menu item that hails from the great state of "Minnesota Nice". The Juicy Lucy is not always on the line up, but since it was and I had the time it was a must try. The young gentleman let me know it's a long process that takes around 35-40 minutes...whoah! But I already knew this, but it's been probably 15 years since my last one.I decided on no sides today as the burger was promised to be a meal and even more on its own. As I waited on my order I enjoyed a Green Flash beer. The outdoor patio on a nice day is the perfect way to partake in a truck. I saw several customers enjoying Vickie's around me. I also got to meet the female owner Vicki herself who was sweet as apple pie. At the 40 minute mark my burger was delivered to my table, a very appreciated gesture by the staff. I think they try to do this for all customers. I was warned to let the burger set up for several minutes due to the hot lava cheese that could scorch my tongue. So I did let it sit for around 3-4 minutes and cut it in half to further cooling. Within another few minutes I took my first bite. I loved the flavor of the meat and cheese combo and thought this was a winner!I will be looking for Vickie's again and just maybe the Juicy Lucy if my appetite can handle this monstrosity of beef and cheese. Checkout their Facebook page for movements around the Hampton Roads area.

So... showed up at Green Flash Brewery for my weekly dose of hoppy excellence. The bartenders are stellar, the beer is cold, and the ambience is second to none. Upon arriving I was pleasantly surprised to see a food truck pulling into the driveway

Had the jerk burger and it was very tasty and not too spicy. I ordered a side of fries and they were ok. Total of $13 plus change which is a lil pricey for a food truck.

My office building features a food truck every Thursday, and Vicki Vail's is MY FAVORITE. When I know Vicki Vail's is coming around, I "forget" to pack lunch.Service can get a little backed up and $10 for a burger is pretty steep, but these burgers are worth the wait and the money. Made to order juicy burgers topped with fresh ingredients on a toasted bun, a weekday lunch couldn't get any better. I've never been disappointed.

First of all, big thanks to Vicki Vail's for coming to my place of business to spice up the cafeteria food options :)First time trying the truck today, and I'm glad I did. Tried the mushroom swiss burger (topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle unless you don't want one of those). Had a little confusion and thought I ordered the veggie (you can swap any burger for veggie or turkey), but they quickly redeemed themselves and re-made. Served on a buttered/toasted roll - yes please. And I got the plain fries on the side (you can get them loaded too), and they're the good fries with a crispy outside and potatoey inside. They are made to order - don't go if you have to be in and out in 5 minutes because it's not that quick, but that's the price you pay for fresh.

Ratings1 star poor2 star fair3 star good4 star great 5 star excellent If you are drunk or buzzed this is going to taste amazing. If you like toppings and bread that is the majority of their burgers. Nothing wrong with that just very little burger. Think McDonald's 10 to 1 (skinny like a cheese burger from McDonald's not thicker like a quarter pounder, 4 to 1). Definitely a class up from McD's. In my opinion a burger should be medium to medium rare, these are cooked medium to well. I tasted just the patty and it wasn't bad, a bit salty. This burger is about the toppings. Fries are good, clearly frozen or expertly peeled and cut. Think almost steak style fries. Salty and addictive, particularly with the beer cheese. Price is steep for what you are getting. I have eaten at a lot of food trucks across the country from Rhode Island to Hawaii. This is like the chain restaurant of food trucks. Definitely worth a try.

I've tried the Pesto Burger, Classic, and Teriyaki Turkey burger. They were all juicy and delicious, and totally unique. The fries fries are crispy and some of the best I've ever had. Lots of great dipping sauces, too. Follow this truck. Highly recommend!

This food truck is really good. The food is good and reasonable. There are healthier options such as turkey and veggie burgers and the customer service is outstanding. On their truck it says: "worth the cheat meal" and they are not lying. The fries are so good and I make sure that I visit this truck every time I see them.

I tried my first Vicki Vail's burger last night at Farmhouse Brewery. The guy running the food truck was working his butt off and he was super friendly. I had the chili verde burger. It was so flavorful and the perfect level of heat. The tomato tasted like it was just picked from the garden. I will be trying other burgers in the future.
