This was the second roller coaster I rode in my entire life. The first was during my high school senior trip to Disney World. Enough years had passed between then and now that I suppose I forgot just how much I dislike coasters. I joined a couple of friends on this one located within Busch Gardens' German section, and they prepped me in advance for what to expect: super fast speeds and a drop. ...Except when they said "drop" I thought they meant the bottom of the coaster car would fall out and we'd have our feet dangling. I was in for a surprise! I screamed the whole time. It was quite the experience, and I was fighting off the adrenaline rush for several hours after it. But I hear that this is considered a "warm-up coaster"??? Somehow? Also kids were on it. Safe to say, I'm a wimp. If you like coasters, I'm sure you'll like this one.

I read about this ride and even expected some of it, but it had me surprised several times over. It was entertaining and a thrill with a very short wait when I went. The one downside was that despite being a metal track it was a little jerky where I expected it to be smoother.

Out of all the coasters I rode this day, this was by far my favorite. Everything about this ride from the theme to the ride itself immerses you into the world they were attempting to project. The theme of this is basically Germany. Fitting for this being a Busch Gardens. You are suppose to feel that you are about to get on the Autobahn to take a crazy trip into the Black Forest. As you wind your way through a path that makes you feel like you are leisurely walking through the forest and what comes off as a passport check area you finally make it to the platform. The coaster cars themselves look as if they are a convertible. You speed your way through the track, darting here, there, and everywhere. My favorite part here was when you enter the pitch black building. This is where the fun and big surprise begins. You wonder why you kind of come to a stop. After racing through the warm weather outside you get hit by the chill of air conditioning. You kind of melt into the relief from the warmth.Then...you drop. Like your stomach goes up into your throat kind of drop. It is quick unexpected and might make you let out a scream on the way down. Once you drop you speed off again. On your way to finish this ride.

Verbolten is without question one of my favorite Busch Gardens roller coasters. It replaced the aging Big Bad Wolf around six years ago that had been a crowd favorite. Located in Germany Verbolten will typically have very long lines during peak times, thus the knock of a star for me. I'm not willing to wait 2 hours. The entrance is really cool with the signage and car. The ride itself is pretty sweet! It's fast, it has a high drop and also a surprise when entering a covered bridge I will not give away. It's restricted to around 60 inches I recall, so early teens. Busch Gardens is open on a limited basis by appointment only during the pandemic. The have extended until the end of August. Unfortunately during the Coasters & Craft Brews Verbolten was not selected to be one of the coasters. Hopefully they can have a full park reopening next Summer.

By far one of my favorite rides at Busch Gardens. We have been several times but our most recent trip was not too long ago, during "Christmas Town." Overall, we love coming to BG for Christmas Town. But this ride... I can never pass up on it. Even though I know this ride by heart, it always surprises me and I really feel like it's better ridden at night. The ambiance to the cars is super cool. I've never been to Germany but they definitely put a lot of work into the details of path leading up to the cars. The line went fairly fast despite what the app said. It stated an hour wait time and we probably only waited 30 minutes tops (this also could be because it was night time and not during the summer season). Such a smooth and fast ride! I highly recommend it for adrenaline seekers!

Indoor outdoor roller coaster. Each of the 8 rows seats 2 riders. Ride time is under a minute but wait times vary based on seasonal days of the week and weather determining overall crowds. Lots of covered spaces to wait if needed. Today's overcast Sunday visit took 15 min. Overall entertainment value is 3.5 as I like the winding track with indoor "surprise" but do NOT enjoy how it jars my neck, HARD. When our family rides this, I'm the official bag and belongings holder!

Verbolten is tied with Space Mountain as my 2nd/3rd favorite ride of all time! (In case you're wondering, The Mummy wins the #1 spot... I LOVE that ride! Anyway, I digress. Verbolten is so smooth, so fast, pretty long (which is great if you've waited in line forever), and surprising! I can't even tell you what the story is because I never pay attention, but it doesn't matter. Just buckle up and get ready to have loads of fun! If you can swing for quick queue, it's a great thing to get. This is one of the most popular rides in the park and quick queue will allow you to skip the line and get faster to the fun!
