I had an amazing time! The decor is unique and creates a great atmosphere. I tried a beer flight to sample their offerings, and I loved every selection I made. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, which added to the experience. What did I have? * Festbier - Oktoberfest Lager, 5.4% ABV* Rosé Lager - Lager with Grape skins and Hibiscus, 5% ABV* Norse - FarmHouse IPA, 8% ABV* Brett IPA - Brett IPA, 5.5% ABV

Vasen is a great brewery to hang out with friends, especially when the weather is nice thanks to their plentiful outdoor seating.I have been here multiple times though am only now getting around to writing a review. And it's about time too, they deserve the five stars: nice service, great draft beer selection, welcoming environment, and plenty of outdoor and indoor seating. Whether you're here with just one friend or a group on a bar crawl, they have you covered and serve quickly (which is fantastic when you're in a time squeeze!)While they don't have a lot of dark beer options (my personal faves), their beer selection is still excellent and I have always found something to enjoy, and at a reasonable price too. They have a few board game loaners to play too, which is nice if you didn't bring your own.Vasen is very much a microcosm of Scott's Addition itself: trendy, fun, new, and somewhere easy to hang out with people. Looking forward to my next visit here!Overall: 4.5 stars----Pros:- Great draft beer selection (though more dark beers would be nice).- Prices are fair for what you get.- Plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, so you're clear no matter the season.- Upscale ambiance.Cons:- Just like Scott's itself, parking can be a pain if you don't time it right. This whole area needs a dedicated garage, though I'm guessing that's probably not going to happen for a variety of reasons.

Nice brewery! Enjoyed both beers I tried while there. Ambiance is that of a beer hall with multiple large tables and a few couches. I believe they have different food trucks every day but we did not try it. I also think they allow outside food, inside. We purchased a couple of 4 packs because we enjoyed them so much. I recommend this brewery

Stopped in as part of our walking tour of Scott's Addition. Very conveniently located. Warehouse vibe. Lots of choices. No tasting flights on the weekend. We had the Peregrine Pale Ale and the West Coast IPA and both were solid. Love finding places that don't only have hazy beers!

Every beer we tried was so good! What a fun place to stop while exploring Scott's Addition neighborhood. You would be reminisced to this location if you're in the area

My husband and I always have a great time at Väsen! Beers are consistent and delicious. Today, we tried the new reposado otter goses and they were phenomenal! Definitely one of the best breweries in RVA

The first on our mission to complete the Richmond Beer Trail - and it was a goodie! The Triple Berry Sour packed a good punch and my partner loved her Rose Lager. Tables were ginormous - so we shared with someone and still had plenty of room to lay out a board game we brought with us. Honestly, this is a great spot to just hangout + drink - we didn't try the food, but looks like you can order from a little automated kiosk in the back to make it easy! Plenty of indoor seating with an accessible ramp and a few tables on the patio if the weather was better. Appreciated the bartenders recommendations on what to try as a first-timer. Overall great experience and one you must try if doing the trail! (Or just generally perusing the Scott's Addition brewery scene of course :))

One of the most beautiful breweries in Scott's Addition. Tried 2 stouts: mushroom and their staple. Solid good beers! They have a food truck so food offerings vary day to day.

I dig this brewery, their brand, environmental mission statement and was very much looking forward to drinking at the source. The fermented beverages did not disappoint to say the least.Cool space, plenty of room inside and out. Broad range of styles and as mentioned, excellent brews. Staff was very friendly. Would definitely recommend and return.
