Umi Sushi

I had an amazing time at Umi Sushi! From the moment I walked in the staff was super friendly and attentive. The food was fresh and made fast. There's a very friendly and fun environment inside! Will definitely be back soon.

First time here...It's small inside with only about 9 seats around the sushi bar. I do believe that there is outside seating but not positive. I ordered my rolls to go, and the woman who took my order was very sweet and my food was ready to go when she had told me it would be. I ordered the shrimp tempura roll and a California roll. Both were fresh and delicious. Will be back to try out more of their sushi!

The service here was personalized and welcoming. The Chef made a special selection and rolls based on what we liked. I can't say enough great things. The atmosphere is laid back and casual. The Chef was friendly and amazing. If you have time to chat and eat, this is the place to do it.

The food was excellent, and service was wonderful. It's a quaint intimate space, where the chef makes the rolls right in front of you. He's very friendly and super talented. Highly recommend!

My friend and I decided to go on a day trip to Yorktown Beach. I found Umi Sushi on a lot of MUST GO TO lists when searching for things to do in Yorktown. There are even some Tik Toks about this place. The moment I stepped in, I understood why. It's inside an extremely charming colonial home with some of the tastiest fish! They use high quality fish here which is always music to my ears (magic for my mouth?) when eating sushi. You can dine-in or takeout. It is a smaller shop, so seating inside is a bit intimate. There are some stools at the bar. You can also choose to sit outside.I ordered the Umi Roll (salmon/avocado roll with salmon on top) which I highly recommend. My friend got a tuna/avocado roll and shrimp tempura maki which she said was good. Next time I'm in Yorktown I'll definitely be coming back for more sushi here. I love when a place has that special local feel. Umi Sushi did that for me and more.

I've had some time to try other sushi places in the area, and while their sushi is good it's not amazing. Service has been great every time I've gone, but the only times I do go are non-peak times. It's good if you're in the area and want sushi, but I wouldn't go out of my way to come here.

This is a hidden gem on the boardwalk of historic Yorktown Beach! Tiny little place with odd hours, but super quaint and the quality of the sushi is amazing! Great selection of sake as well. Husband and wife team own and operate it. It's a must try if you're in the area. Not ideal for large groups unless you want to sit outside on the back patio (there is only sushi bar seating inside, enough chairs for about 8 people total).

Got here at 6:48 on a Saturday 8/17 and it was closed. It was supposed to be open until 7:30 pm. We cut our swimming short just to come here only to see a closed sign.

Stopped here for a bite with my husband and four sons while in Yorktown...excellent! The food was fresh and delicious, and the man working there was so kind and nice to talk to! We all tried Japanese soft drinks and octopus for the first time...everything was wonderful. We plan to make it a stop every time we're in town!

Good. Large sushi, owner very friendly and answers questions. Sushi has a cool fresh taste. Nice little spot - small, informal and family feeling.
