After an incredible dinner and a restful night at the Marriott Virginia Beach Oceanfront Resort, we started our morning with a breakfast package at Tulu Seaside Bar and Grill. The experience was nothing short of amazing. We both enjoyed made-to-order omelets, paired with fresh coffee, and my wife took a delicious banana nut muffin to-go for later. The food was not only flavorful but exceeded our expectations. What truly stood out was the exceptional service--we felt well taken care of from start to finish.Typically, hotel breakfast packages can be hit or miss, but Tulu proved to be a delightful exception. It's a fantastic value and absolutely worth including in your stay. If you're visiting the Marriott, I highly recommend upgrading to the breakfast package for two--you won't regret it. And don't forget to tip your server generously, based on the value of such a high-quality dining experience.

Don't waste your time. Waited 45 minutes for soda and a little longer for food. They brought my salad out with incorrect items and it took 20 more minutes to remake. My boyfriend's food got cold waiting for mine to come back out. Food was not worth the wait or price. We kept getting really bad burnt fish smells where we were seated. Also the taxes?? Not only do you have to pay for PARKING but our receipt showed "state tax, local tax, VA access fee, and additional access fee". If you're gonna make someone's experience nearly 2 hours you should validate parking.

The parking garage was in the Marriott building and paid $6 for like 2ish hours. Had no reservation and got seated immediately. The staff were nice and friendly. The restaurant was very nicely decorated and not too many people. The only annoying thing was someone would come from outside so it would be cold. Overall nice view. Ordered the mushroom pizza and it was a nice size for personal pizza or to share. The berrylicious smoothie or similar name was good, but $10 for a cup...

We just had drinks. Nice place. Friendly staff. Beautiful location. Expensive drinks. Light on the scotch selection, but that seems to be the case at more and more places.

Tulu is unfortunately one of those restaurants that has a great facade but the substance just isn't there. Came here for drinks & dinner with some gal pals the other night. Great ambiance if you just want the patio vibes with a cocktail. Other than that, save your cash. The spinach artichoke dip was a weird whipped texture, unsalted, and no cheese. Huh??The jalapeño marg was delicious, but too much ice. I ordered the filet medium well and the thing came out like a hockey puck. The whipped cauliflower mash was also not salty whatsoever. I'm not really sure what the chef here is thinking. The service was pretty decent. However, for a $60 bill, this place needs to improve drastically. I would only return for a drink and lounging on the patio or by one of the fire tables.

If you're looking for a really good strawberry margarita with sugar on the rim? This is the place! The turkey burger is AMAZING and the vibe is all there for sure. I love the decor and would highly recommend!

Good beach food if you're laying out at the Cavalier Beach Club. Enjoy the bocce ball and cornhole outside! If you are looking to play volleyball on the beach, BYOB (bring your own ball) and some shoes to play in, because the sand gets HOT!Can't speak for service since I've always gotten it to go. However service at the Cavalier Beach Club is bar none.

Such mixed feelings about this place... We stayed in the VA Beach Marriott a few nights and upon first getting to the property, before even being able to check in, we came here for lunch. We were sat and waited and waited... After 15 mins (we timed it) we got up and walked away. Went elsewhere. We came back that evening for drinks before dinner... We sat at the bar and the first bartender we had was dismissive and not very friendly, but the second one that took care of us was great. We ordered an appetizer and another round of drinks and then waited and waited and waited for that appetizer and it never showed up. When we were about 25 mins before our dinner reservation time we canceled the appetizer and about 2 mins later, it showed up. We weren't interested, so instead of giving it to us (as a comp for the horribly slow service), the staff put it in a to-go container and put it aside... I'm sure they kept/ate it - Unacceptable! The next morning we came in for breakfast and opted for their buffet and it was decent, though the food was in a warming tray, it wasn't very warm, but the flavors were decent. The service was mediocre that morning. Our last morning we stopped in for breakfast... The food was amazing, one of the best omelets I've had in recent history! But the service once again was mediocre at best. The service issue at this restaurant seems to be in-line with the service issues at the front desk of the hotel... Which are clearly management issues. The entire property is amazing, but not a place I would go on my own dime, only for work and when work is paying. They need to work on the attitude and work ethic of many of their employees who seem to be empowered to provide poor to mediocre service by management.

We were recently down at the Oceanfront in Virginia Beach, so we decided to stop by Tulu Seaside. We arrived during Happy Hour so we were able to enjoy some of the offerings on the Happy Hour menu.We sat at the Bar and chatted with the bartenders while we took in the incredible views of the Ocean. We started off with a Wedge Salad and we really enjoyed it. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious. It was perfectly dressed and it had a good amount of Blue-cheese crumbles. Next we tried the Grilled Brussel Sprouts. They were perfectly cooked with a slightly crunchy mouth feel that you should expect in a properly prepared dish. The balsamic glaze was a perfect complement to the dish that added an amazing depth of flavor that put it over the top. Finally we had the Poke Tostada. This was the star of the show. The Tuna was fresh and delicious and so were the other ingredients. I almost licked the plate clean, just kidding but it was delicious.Check out Tulu next time you're down at the Oceanfront, you'll be glad that you did and you can rest assured that you are supporting our local restaurant community.

If you're venturing to this beautiful restaurant, it's for the views and NOT the food or the service. We waited for 17 minutes before our server arrived. Waited another 5 for water to arrive. It was a Saturday night, but that was still a long time to wait. The spinach artichoke dip was extremely bland, I added so much pepper to add some flavor. The pizza was decent, but it was not good or amazing or anything. Lean burger was very basic, nothing spectacular. I will never return to this restaurant, but it was beautiful.
