Travelers Inn

Great place to stay in Elizabeth City ! Recently renovated, the room was beautiful, with comfortable beds, very nice furniture, and a HUGE HD flatscreen TV. Our "neighbors" were a lively, talkative crowd by day, but quiet as church mice by 10 PM - most appeared to be traveling workers or truckers, so early to bed, early to rise ! I felt very safe there, which is not something you can say about most typical roadside motels. It was also very quiet despite being on a busy road - the insulation was very good. Pet friendly ! Nice areas to walk your dog right next to the Travelers Inn, and the room didn't smell at all like dogs had been there before - exceptionally clean ! Bonus points for the very friendly, helpful, absolutely lovely staff ! Front desk and housekeeping staff were just wonderful !

I'm only giving this place 1 star because the Receptionist (Brittany) is the only thing that makes staying at this place worth it. NONE of the housekeepers do their jobs correctly, they half ass everything. They say they only clean rooms by request, but my husband and I stayed here for almost a full month and I requested to have our room cleaned every other day and our room was cleaned maybe twice and when they "clean" the room they aren't cleaning it fully, they think only replacing towels is cleaning. I've had to constantly go down to the office and get replacement towels, garbage bags, I even had to get my own cleaning supplies and ask for the hotels broom and mop and clean my own room on MULTIPLE OCCASIONS. One of the housekeepers got an attitude with me and was talking to me very unprofessional when I went down to the office and requested more towels. VERY UNPROFESSIONAL and not worth the $450 a week we were paying to stay here.

Stayed 2 nights. Clean place and good service. Reasonable prices, but no breakfast... should consider adding this service. They are pet friendly and you pay a small fee.

I talked to a gentleman about 1.5 weeks ago and he gave me good service when asking for information about rates. I just called back right now (6/30/17 @ 3:15pm PT) and the lady that helped me didn't seem like she cared for my business and had a little attitude with me. I am certain that I was very polite to her. She kept asking me to spell my last name again and again (6 times) then when she finally got it she asked for my credit card info which I had not a good feeling about and just told her forget the reservation and that I am deterred from staying here because of her customer service and lack of wanting a customer.

We stayed here on our vacation in June for four nights. The cleanliness was good (other than stuff from the last occupants being in the mini-fridge), the staff seemed friendly enough, and the price was reasonable. The only thing I will complain about is how early the cleaning staff comes to the room. We were woken up at 9am every day by the cleaning lady, after we told them not to come until after 11. The day we left, the cleaning lady stood outside the door waiting for us to leave. Other than that, the stay was pleasant enough.

I was so glad I stayed here. Staff was very friendly, rooms clean and spacious. Nice HD tv, microwave and fridge. I booked last minute and everywhere else was booked or wanted $250-300 dollars for weekend same day reservation. I was upset and finally called this place and was very happy with the price but was scared of what I was gonna end up staying the nite in. Luckily I was pleasantly surprised when I got there. One of the best in the area.

I stayed at the Travelers Inn from 2am February 3, 2025- 12pm February 18, 2025. It was a fabulous experience. They really made me feel at home. I didn't have any problems. I'd welcome the experience again. The staff was very friendly as I awaited the renovations on my new home. Thank you very much Travelers Inn for your hospitality.

I'm staying in this hotel and the very nice lady @ the Front Desk(Brittany)has been very accommodating to me. She has a great personality and she really goes out of her way to provide any and everything that I needed. She's very friendly and she really takes her job seriously in being a hospitable manager for her place of business. Give this lady a raise. The hotel is really clean too.

Disappointing. Booked a non smoker king room and arrived to find it was used by a smoker and the refrigerator leaked on the floor. Next sent to a double non smoker room. Same problem. Finally found a double but trouble with WiFi. The hotel is old and needs some cash infusion.

Although we decided to continue on our trip and not stay here, we stopped and looked at the rooms because of a bad experience down the road. Danielle, the innkeeper, was lovely and super helpful. Unfortunately had to move on, but would not hesitate to stay here in the future!
