Toro Sushi

I was at a nearby conference and wanted something healthy for dinner. I walked in to a beautifully decorated restaurant, complete with a blooming silk cherry tree. It was such a wonderful experience, I went there the next day also and am currently trying to decide about going again tonight!! The first day I had ebi (shrimp) sushi and a special maki roll with tempura shrimp, avocado, cucumber, spicy mayo and eel sauce on top. It was delivered to my table on a tiered wooden serving dish with cherry blossoms and an urn with billowing clouds of what I'm assuming was dry ice. It was lovely and so delicious. The second night I had a California roll and 2 pieces each of ebi and tuna sushi. All fantastic and served on a platter with what I think was a banana leaf and a pink carnation, which is brightening up my hotel room now. It also had a dish with billows of cold steam. The restaurant plays quiet instrumental cello music (some were hymns but not all) which is very calming. An absolutely lovely experience each time.Edit: I did go back for the third night. Nothing else sounded as good. It was delicious and beautiful also.

This place popped up as a new sushi option in Door Dash -- so I guess they replaced the previous sushi place that was in this location? Either way, I figured I'd give it a shot since I was craving sushi. I ordered miso soup, salmon and tuna nigiri, the fancy roll (shrimp tempura, mango, cucumber and lobster), and the salmon avocado roll. I'll do a quick rundown of each --The miso soup was delicious - very flavorful and packed with tofu. The salmon nigiri was good, the white tuna was off. I expect white tuna to melt in your mouth like salmon, but this was chewy. Tasted like perhaps a different fish. The fancy roll was YUM! Great combination of flavors that popped in your mouth. The salmon avocado was just kind of eh. I'm not sure why the flavors were weird, but the texture combination wasn't on point. So, overall, my meal was hit or miss. And perhaps the most frustrating -- it was delivered with no wasabi, fresh ginger or chopsticks. I expect these side items as standard for a sushi order, so I was really surprised when I didn't get any of them. I'm not sorry I tried them because that miso was baller -- but I'll likely order from other places where the flavors and service are more consistent across the board.

In town for a work "training" the next two days and wanted a light- peaceful evening. Debated just staying in and I'm so glad I came out. Recommended by a colleague, the moment I walked in I was taken by the ambiance. The music, birds chirping, warmth of the wood, and quiet vibe of the place. This was supposed to happen. I ordered a calif roll (just in case the other was not good) and a fried one. As im waiting/ sipping on my Pinot noir... I can feel the tension reduce in my mind- in my shoulders. The plate arrives with a STUNNING presentation for just two rolls. The individuals working here have set a scene that made for the absolute best EXPERIENCE I have had in a long time. For the experience- the cleanliness, music, warmth, freshness of ingredients, cold thing cold- hot things hot, and the kindness they showed each table in here... they should charge WAY MORE! So affordable and such a great experience. THANK YOU!

Great restaurant! Large number of options of sushi rolls that are well presented. Service was quick to provide menus, drinks, and gave a good suggestion for an appetizer.We split the Gyoza and house salad for a starter. Gyoza was great. House salad was small, but dressing was very good. Had 6 rolls for our entree (we indulged!). Spider, ichiban, spicy white tuna, salmon, volcano, and cucumber. All were delicious. The only downside to the restaurant is there are not many other options besides sushi - def not a good place for non-sushi lovers.

This place is located in a strip mall over by the coliseum. Lots of options to eat around here. I was in the mood for sushi so decided to give this place a try. There were a few of us in there for lunch. The lunch menu consists of some bento boxes, and sushi. I went with the two rolls. There weren't a lot of options for the two rolls because most of them were actually vegetarian. So if you're a vegetarian, this is a good place for you! Presentation was really cool! Kind of hard to eat though because I am left-handed but it looks super cool so no complaints! The food came out pretty quick. It was pretty tasty! You can pay at the table using a QR code or she will take your credit card. Not a bad place!

Absolutely fantastic experience every time we visit. Fresh, fast and delicious. The presentation rivals the best restaurants on the planet. Seriously check them out. The service is amazing and the value is unbeatable. The ambiance inside is like transporting yourself to another world. It's seriously one of the best restaurants in the area and our go-to when we think of having a great dinner out.

They did not include all the ingredients that is included in their Snow Girl Roll not on door dash or on their website. I ordered it not knowing it contain mango something that I am allergic to.

Very kind service and clean inviting environment. The food was fresh and filling I would definitely recommend over neighboring sushi spots!

Food was really fresh and tasted amazing. Everyone in the restaurant is attentive to the customer. And overall a cute spot to eat at!

I cannot recommend this place enough!Food: the sushi is just plain excellent. Super high quality served with great presentation and at an excellent price. All of the standard rolls are great, and I am particularly a fan of the Dragon and Dancing Eel rolls. Service: Very quick and responsive, never was short on water or anything. Decor: I am shocked to find such a prettily decorated spot what in basically in a strip mall. Love the vibes
