Tooley's Tavern At The Boathouse

Took my family back here again ... the service (again) was awful. Sat ourselves, the waitress said she'd be right back before getting our our drink orders or anything and then proceeded to be gone for 10 minutes. When she got back we gave her our drink orders, our appetizer orders, and our entree orders. A few tables were sat after ours but handled by a different waitress and all of their appetizers and food came out before ours. Not a huge deal but aggravating. When the table that was sat after us and ordered way after us got their food I inquired with the waitress about our appetizer and she said it would be coming up soon. I feel like that most have been when she put our order in because about 10 minutes later we got our app and about 15 minutes after that we got our dinner. Overall we were there for 2 hours for what should have been less than an hour visit. If the food wasn't so good, I would have given up on this place a long time ago.

We've gone for Sunday brunch a few times and the food is good. It's a buffet so the food service is good but the drink service is kinda slow. Each time we've gone the set up is different so it's kinda confusing. We have gone for dinner, not the buffet, a few times and the food is delicious but the service is kinda slow. We have had different items off the menu and have been pleased with the taste and presentation. The tavern side is cute and decorated nicely. The boathouse side is big but not with any type of themed decoration, just tables. We will go back because the food is good but knowing the service will be slow.

First time visiting. We walked in "The Boathouse" entrance rather than the Tooley's entrance. The hostess was super nice and gave us a tour. On Friday nights both areas are open and serve from the same menu. We decided to sit upstairs in the Tavern which we had to ourselves. We had a great waitress who shared all the specials, drinks, and went through the menu with us sharing favorites. We both decided on Fish and Chips as that's what we came for. Very good choice - the cod fillets were tender and well cooked and came with thick cut Parmesan French fries and smashed mint peas. We said "smashed mint peas"?? It's more of a garnish but delicious - and they are! Excellent experience. The ambiance is fun with lots of fun posters, objects, and a talking skeleton. We really enjoyed ourselves.

Cute place, nice asthenic, I tried the wings and pretzels, both were good. I also had a specialty cocktail that was refreshing. Service was pretty good for us, but I did notice there was a party of two that didn't get a lot of attention from their server in the booth behind us.

Service was super quick and friendly! Drinks were good and food came out quick. We only got a side of fries as we were mainly here for drinks, but they were fantastic! the atmosphere was calm, and they had 6 TVs with different games on. They had an entire other section with music.Bathroom was small and toilet was very slow but otherwise this place is awesome! I live in Chesapeake but can easily see myself making the 45 minute drive to come back!

Delicious food and daily specials, plenty of seating, friendly staff, but the prices are a tad high. My shrimp salad was $16 and none of the handhelds come with fries or a side. Good for lunch or large groups. They have nightly entertainment as well.

Loved the atmosphere and cool vibe. The food was really good and the servers were very attentive. Will be back!

Atmosphere - Has the feel of a sports bar but without the sound from the tv. Relatively comfortable and casual atmosphere. The owner snuck up on us and explained that the deserts were made by her daughter or sister. In either case it was a family member that made them. You can also walk over to the boat house which is connected. They had a saxophone player this night which was pretty cool to see. Although he was not Sergio Flores, he was pretty good. This is coming from someone that is not a fan of live music. Food- Excellent. I even got a desert, it was a gooey cake with fried apples on top minus the ice cream. I really enjoyed my meal.Service - Also excellent. Might have also been a family member. Overall - We will definitely frequent this establishment and you should too.

For the first time tried Tooley's Tavern Sunday afternoon with a table of six. We were seated quickly at a large round table with comfortable high back leather chairs.On tap, they had everything from Dudweiser to Guinness and a bunch in between. The table ran the full course of available drafts with no complaints.From the pictures, you can see the food looks really good and tasted even better. Our server was on point with drinks appetizers and an update on the food order after 30 minutes had passed. Will definitely return and recommend. Cheers!

Awesome!! Beer and food.The Best Fish and Chips I have ever had!!!!I have been to several restaurants on the east coast and the Gulf, this is the best!Waitress Hanna was wonderful!
