Haven't been to Tony's in some time, do when my wife suggested out for dinner we decided on Tony's. I'd heard about the garlic knots and wanted to give those a try.I ordered spaghetti and meat sauce after asking if they made their own meatballs, which they do not. Bummer, but not a deal breaker. My wife ordered the stuffed shells, the special that night. We both ordered salads, and one plate of the garlic knots. I ordered coffee..The salads were very nice. A slice of sausage and a slice of provolone, olives with lettuce, onion, and we both ordered blue cheese dressing, which came on the side. The knots came directly before, and were very good. They came with a marinara sauce, and were swimming in garlic butter. Nice.My ape ghetto with meat sauce and my wife's stuffed shells came perfectly timed with finishing our salads. My meal was very good, the meat sauce was thick, and it was substantial, not overly spicy. My wife enjoyed her stuffed shells. Why four stars and not 5? The coffee. Although served quickly, and piping hot, it was terribly weak. I ordered a second cup later in the meal to give it another chance, but, same weak coffee. Did we enjoy the meal? Yes. Well lit, clean, solid booth seating. (I'll two-star a restaurant with crappy wobbly tables, chairs and booths)Our server was attentive and friendly, but not overbearing. Will we return? Absolutely.

In Elizabeth City there isn't a vast selection of dining out sit down choices available. There are the big chains like Applebees and Ruby Tuesdays which didn't tickle my fancy at the time. Using Yelp and feeling a need for italian food I found Tony's. It is a locals place with a basic decor, comfortable and clean. The menu (see photos) offered a nice range of italian meals. My friend had a linguine with garlic oil and anchovies which he said was delicious. I had a build your own Calzone, adding ham and sausage. It was crispy outside and stuffed full with ricotta and mozzarella cheese along with the added meats. Dumping the side sauce on top I dug on in and enjoyed every bite. I was stuffed, I wasn't going to let the calzone beat me. I dug deep and marched on. Yes, I won, I think. Plate is clean and I am stuffed. Time to go home and put on some sweat pants!

My husband and I came here for the first time tonight. We are beyond impressed. From the moment you walk in you are greeted by friendly staff and a nice open, clean restaurant. Every aspect of our meal was excellent, we had wings, cheese sticks, and a calzone with cannolis to go. You can't beat the price we paid for all the food. We will absolutely be coming back here! The hour drive is well worth it!

There food is always fresh and delicious. Nothing better than NY flavor in the south, plus the owner is friendly and takes pride in making sure you are satisfied!

Great food. My garlic knots had a nice garlic butter at the bottom to re-dip every bit in which I love. The bigger knots were a bit chewy/doughy but I still thought they were delicious. Wings were excellent, tender and falling of the bone. Cooked through and not raw. Pizza was nice and cheesy and topping were plentiful. Personally, I like my pizza crust crispy and New York style thin. This pizza delivered on the New York style thin, it could be a bit crisper but that's just my personal preference. I would order from here again.

Absolutely love this pizza! And they have the best garlic knots in town- without a doubt. They are usually very busy but you can tell the staff works hard and do the best they can. Dine-in, take out, or their pizza by the slice is all worth it. And if you have a little extra time and patience and can order the Sicilian ahead of time- you won't regret it!

Loved this place until I watched my child spit out "something crunchy" and it was a FINGERNAIL. Called to let the business know and they apologized and said they'd refund my order. It's been over a week and no refund. When in doubt spit it out - just sayin'.

Had to give one star just because the waitress was nice. I had the worst pizza I've ever eaten...at Tony's in Elizabeth City. They claim to specialize in Sicialian and NY style pizza...I have eaten pizzas in both places, and I've never had one anywhere that was prepared such as this. First, it was a lot smaller than most "large" pies are. But the onions were sliced in rings and very very juicy and translucent like they had been cooked or steamed first...same with the peppers, which looked like they came from a jar...and dumped on top! The sausage was gray! I will say the crust was good, but cold. I tried Tony's about ten years ago and swore I'd never go back because my pizza was raw...it stretched like Mozzarella cheese! I swore then I'd never be back, but I guess the jokes on me that I went back. But no more!
