Tidewater Yacht Marina

Great marina. The staff are very nice and the facilities are clean. Great access to Portsmouth and Norfolk.

My truck got broken into 4 times in the first month of living at this place . The current management ended up helping me and have me a secure spot but then Suntex lost that management. Then the new manager "Rick Monday" who's never had ANY marina experience takes over and I loose that spot! But because I'm someone who chooses to voice his opinions I was also told I needed to find a new place to stay. Been there for 2 years and because I voice my opinion I get evicted. Not one law broke. Not one marina rule broke . They've fired 80 % of there staff and nobody has ANY qualifications as to marina / boating life! I for one give this place a on boat Suntex marina and this awesome guy named Rick Monday!!!! You guys are doing a great job over there

What a great marina! Very clean and well maintained. Very helpful in assisting us to fuel up (their diesel tanks are down temporarily but Caitlin told us where to get fuel). Easy docking. Caitlin, Curt and Rick were all super friendly! I had a cold and was worried it might be COVID- pharmacies didn't open till 9 so they went to a grocery store (out of walking distance) and got me a COVID test!!!! Talk about ABOVE AND BEYOND! (I was negative!). Old town is a lovely walk from the boat. Plenty of cute restaurants and the buildings were really quaint. A lot of history there I am sure. Our first trip from Cape Cod to Fl and Rick and Curt gave us a lot of tips. Even though we had researched it, it is always reassuring to hear it from someone. Again, many thanks to Caitlin, Curt and Rick for their thoughtfulness. We will return on our way back!

A few of my friends keep their boats moored up in their slips, they've always been treated quite well by the marina management & staff. They've been super accommodating to the point that they even drove one of my friends boats over to wine fest for/with us!! The marina is kept quite clean, they have an AMAZING restaurant called Fish & Slips in the heart of the marina as well as a small marina shop beneath it. They have ample parking for cars as well as slips. The only negative I've heard was about homeless people getting into & using the private restroom & showers that are for the permanent residents that live on their boats. It's also a beautiful view of the Portsmouth Naval Hospital as well as of Norfolk's Waterside District.

Beautiful marina, great location! Service and amenities are outstanding. The employees are amazing!

Staff is absolutely amazing and super friendly. Located at mile marker zero which makes for the perfect place to stop. We will definitely be back to visit again.

Great marina, great staff. My family loves it here!! I've been to other marinas in the area and Tidewater is by far the best in my opinion. Can't wait to put our new boat in this spring!!

Perfect location! Great place to dock and take a break. Had reservations for a month and stayed 2 1/2 months. Hardworking dock hands and friendly staff. We love talking, grilling out and swimming with the other boated here. Best restaurant right here on the dock at the Tide Water Yacht Marina! Would have given 5 stars but they do not have diesel here at this time. They do have pump out and gas. We will be back!

WE were looking for a place to stay in Norfolk Harbor for Harborfest. And this Mania was great to get to and use. Were able to go to restaurants very close and the ferry to Norfolk is within walking distance, The help, especially Caitlin was nice to deal with. will be back next time we need a slip!

We stayed at Tidewater for a week and thought it was great! The staff is probably the best part of the marina. They were friendly and helpful. Also, the location is great. It's a little quieter than Waterside Marina across the River in Norfolk. It is only a short walk to the ferry to cross the Elizabeth River to get you over to Norfolk. There is a wonderful museum within walking distance, the Portsmouth Naval Shipyard Museum.
