Great Thai. Wonton warmup big wontons made in house are awesome. I had one of the stir fry and it was solid flavor and heat. Went with 6 and everyone enjoyed their meal. Great service as well.

First impression: The restaurant was clean and classy looking! A cute place to have a date. We ordered 2 appetizers and 2 entrees. The server was quick and friendly.Crab Rangoon: crispy with a delicious sauce. It was more cream cheese than anything but it was good. It was $8 which was pricey but it was a decent amount. 9/10 Dumplings: the dumplings were okay and $9 with only 6 pieces. 6/10Stirfry: the flavors were good but there wasn't too much food and it was about $16 7/10Pad see ew: thankfully it wasn't too sweet like some of the other places I tried. The amount was pretty decent 9/10Overall the food was pretty decent with a nice atmosphere and decent service.

Still one of my favorite Thai spots in Newport News! Dined here with a group of 8 and our service was great. The dining space is clean and plenty of tables for groups. Everyone enjoyed their dishes, and spice levels.

Beautiful interior, excellent service, delicious food, wonderful atmosphere. Mrs had Basil fried rice with chicken and shrimp level three spice. I had pineapple fried rice that actually came in a pineapple! It was outstanding! We have definitely marked this place as a must return.

We came here in March 2024 and honestly it was a 3 star experience. But last night we got a takeout order and it was definitely 5 star food, so idk if it was off day last time or if they have a new chef.Restaurant/ambiance (4/5): Tbh, this location looks like an abandoned strip mall behind Hampton Inn when you first turn off the main road...but there ARE businesses here! And Tida Thai is one of them. It's a cute thai restaurant with wonderful ambiance and plenty of seating. When you first walk in a pretty sounding wind chime announces your arrival. They also have a bar in the back if you don't want to sit at a table. Tip: the bar is where you place walk-in takeout orders. Make sure to grab a paper menu to take home!LOTS of parking spots available!Service (5/5): Both times we were here the service was on-point. Friendly and prompt staff.Food (5/5): I'm basing the 5 stars solely on this past order. Everything was flavorful, spiced appropriately. Moreover, everything was piping hot even by the time we got home! I ordered the Sweet & Sour Stir-Fry (beef) and it was DELICIOUS!!! The sweet and sour sauce was excellent, not overpowering. The beef was tender and juicy. The vegetables were on point as well. Lastly, I like to mix mine with the jasmine rice, mmmmmm soooo good!!!Compliments to the chef!!!

The wait was really long, like i'm talking 40+ minutes and the reason for this was the prioritization of takeout and doordash orders. I think that the people eating in should be prioritized because they took the time to come in and they are the ones being directly dealt with. The food was fine I guess.
