WOW! The best burger in the Northern Neck by far is to be found at The World Famous Corner Bar and Grill!Their fries and onion rings are excellent, also. You get them right out of the vat.I'd like to explore more of the menu, but that half pound Angus cheeseburger cooked to perfection has too powerful an allure. Everything is just right.A couple of slices of American cheese, grilled onions, tomato, a little mayo and lettuce is all you need. That baby's gonna fill you up!It's one of those things that tastes so good you keep on eating after you're stuffed. The staff are wonderful and take care of you.I really like the interior of this old building with all the Redskins memorabilia - it's just a very comfortable, relaxed place with character.I live about 22 miles away in Reedville and do not mind the drive because the payoff is so satisfying. The only thing I would change about the World Famous Corner Bar and Grill would be to move it closer to my house. This is classic Americana.EDIT: Looking at other reviews, one sees mention of political banners. On my first visit I kiddingly asked to the owner behind the grill if he minded serving a liberal. We had an enjoyable discussion about how it didn't really matter. I told him, "This is America. Let your freak flag fly!"We moved on to other subjects. I like the man a lot. They treat me really well whenever I go there and I feel comfortable and welcome. This is how it should be.

You will be offended if you are a liberal. The Trump/Pence banner on the outside of the building should be a dead give away. There are other signs that give pause, too. Nobody was wearing a mask but they didn't challenge us for wearing one. Now, the food....the fried shrimp basket with French fries was good. Crispy fries. The waitress even divided them without asking when I told her we wanted to share them. I suppose I should not be supporting this establishment...but there isn't anything for miles around....

I have been in for a sandwich before. Today my family and I noticed this poster on the wall. We found it offensive. There is no place for this in the Northern Neck or anywhere else. We won't be going back.

Stopped in for lunch while staying nearby. Had planned to eat outside, as we're not comfortable eating inside restaurants yet, but outside was full. The server was the only one wearing a mask (other than us), but no one said anything negative. They didn't appear to be doing 50% indoor capacity or socially distancing tables, so we decided to order carry out. Unfortunately no good place to wait for carry out, which felt awkward as the restaurant filled up.I ordered a sweet tea to have while we were waiting, and it was poured from a store-bought gallon in the fridge. After getting home with our food, we were very pleased with the Morris Jr chicken sandwich and chicken cheesesteak. Five stars for food, three stars for store-bought tea and lack of COVID-procedures.

Great little place to eat and hang out. The owner is cool also. We came one day with the kids during a lunch rush and it took a little longer to get our food but it was worth every red cent!!First of all I hate hate hate sauerkraut but after eating the Reuben here I am a changed woman. I don't think I'll ever order anything else here this sandwhich was just out of this world delicious!! Keep up the good work everybody!!

If your looking for an out of the way place that's a friendly drive from Fredericksburg/King George we found it yesterday. We started by just wanting to get out of the area. So I pulled up Yelp and started searching in all directions from home. We settled on the Northern Neck and glad we did. Owner is a great guy and actually grew up on the same side of Richmond that I did. Made it cool to carry on conversation about the old neighborhood. Atmosphere is laid back, like hanging out in a country store. Juke box and pin ball machines with a nice front porch to watch very light traffic drive by at a slow pace. Now onto the food. We started with soft shell crab bites. Soft shell crabs without the legs that have been quartered and lightly battered and deep fried. They were excellent and fresh. Next was the crab cake sandwich with all crab, very little if any filler, nice size that was just enough. cooked on a flat grill then added fries. Again excellent and fresh. The fries are perfect old school fries that have that 1960's drive in taste. Not skinny like McDonalds but not steak fry size either. But then onto the best item. The cheeseburger! Folks NNB does not hold a candle to this burger. Nice, thick and juicy but not fatty. Cooked perfect again reminded my of a drive in burger. Fresh lettuce, tomato, grilled onions and mayo trust me that's all this burger needs. Seasoned just right on a bun that was also perfect size. Can't wait to get back and try some other items. Prices were very reasonable and the best part was you were not packed into a yuppy hell hole. Customers that were local spoke and even carried on a conversation. Bottom line this place takes you back in time and is one of the most relaxing experiences both my Son and I have had for a long time. So if you need a break away or in the Northern Neck area check them out.

Went here for lunch today. There were only 5 other tables seated which filled the place because it was so tiny. Right off the bat I noticed how dirty the place was and the building itself had some major structural damage. After about 8 minutes someone finally noticed we were seated and came to take our drink order. We both ordered sweet tea and our waitress came to the table with a great value gallon jug of sweet tea and a couple styrofoam cups. We put in our food order which was only a cheeseburger and a steak and cheese sub. After about a 45 minute wait we noticed the cook was not wearing gloves and repeatedly was picking things up off the floor without washing his hands and the grill was completely empty. Our food hadn't even been started so we paid for the fake tea and just decided to leave and go elsewhere. We were extremely disappointed and disgusted and will not go back!

Bunch of Trump signs and porch smokers. Place is not clean or well maintained. You can do better. I used to go there for the cheeseburger. Locals leaving.

The food was okay but the place did not feel clean. The cook handling the food was not wearing gloves and we noticed them pick a piece of food off the floor and go back to touching food for customers without washing their hands. We also didn't like that the business had so many political posters outside - let's leave the politics out of food.
