The Williamsburg Winery Tasting Room & Wine Bar

Had a very pleasant visit for a liquid lunch. I didn't realize that there were two different red wine flights available when I started, but it mattered not because the wonderful shop person had me taste a couple of the others that were on the other flight. It's unbelievable that I have never heard of wines produced in Virginia. At least in this vineyard, all the grapes were produced in Virginia; varietals include the usual suspects, cabernet sauvignon, merlot, petit verdot, etc. Yes, there are also white wines available and the pours are decently portioned. Some of the red blends were quite tasty!The indoor space is nicely decorated and has several tables of different capacities, but it wouldn't be able to handle a large group. Of course, you can always take your purchases outside onto the street tables. I could definitely see myself hanging out here, if I were local. Fun winery in Williamsburg. We came on a weekend to try some of the reds and also had lunch on the property. Good wines and decent food. Would come back.

Awesome atmosphere and lovely wine, what more can you ask for. We ended staying here for a couple hours and drink two bottles of wine and a round of flights! It's quiet, peaceful, and relaxing!! Love this winery!!

If you are an experienced wine drinker this is a great spot. I didn't book a tour, and wish I had, as the wine is really good. We decided to get the Reserve flight and it was interesting as our two favorites, at first, were surpassed by the others during our time. The young lady at the counter gave us great recommendations and helped us to have a great time. The wine tasting room was super comfortable and a great spot to enjoy delicious wines.

Awesome winery with beautiful scenery and ambience. Very relaxing place to sip some of our favorite wine. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. Williamsburg is only about an hour away for us and well worth the trip! Great selection of wine!

My daughter and I visited the WWinery Tasting Room. We actually did not plan to go but the entrance was so charming and inviting. We noticed the entrance because their outside seating atea was filled with happy people with glasses.We did a tasting complete a yummy board of food. Smiles! The wine was good and the seating was okay.I picked out one wine choice that I purchased.Not a very cheerful or welcoming environment. It seemed that the operator was more welcoming to other patrons.I will not be back.

Maya is the best and so friendly and helpful. She could become a sommelier. We love her talent and insight. She helps you find what you will love to drink. We came for the red wine flight. My favorite is their Merlot. Very dry, deep, full of flavor. Nice sitting room up a flight of stairs. Can't wait to come back!

This is the perfect spot for a wine get-together with friends! It's not overly large inside and you do have to go up a flight of stairs, but the wine was delicious and service was extremely friendly. My three friends and I each tried a wine flight. I believe they have a red wine flight, a white wine flight and a sweet wine flight. You can also buy wine by the glass or by the bottle to enjoy as well while in the tasting room. They also have snacks (think meats and cheeses and crackers, light snacks) I had the sweet wine flight and really enjoyed all my wines. My other two friends I was with had the white flights and enjoyed the wines they tried as well. Service was really great and the gal kept circling around to gather any glasses we were finished with, and also made sure we knew it was last call so we could get another drink in before they closed.

Here's a great little tasting room right off the historic park. We saw it on the maps and had to try it. A gracious hostess explained it all. We had a flight of Wessex Hundred wines grown right down the road, and a flight of Virginia grapes vinted here. Forget all that Colonial stuff for a minute. Virginia makes wine now!The light jazz calmed us as we carefully evaluated their wines.

I enjoyed this spot very much. Nice little spot when you go up the stars. Fit the ambiance quite nicely. I been to this location many times and this was the first time a noticed this tasting room, located in Merchant's Square. I was very excited to check it out.They have varies wine flights to choice from. You can also purchase a full glass or a bottle to pair with a small dish of goodies. All wines are from the local Williamsburg Winery. I had the red flight while my boyfriend picked the white wine. All the wines had their own acquired taste. I did find a few favorites.The staff where friendly and efficient.The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 7 pm.
