The Williamsburg General Store

What a cool store! Very old timey vibes. Lots of retro merchandise like toys, Nehi drinks, candy. Flags for the yards, great selection. The staff were incredibly friendly and engaging. Was visiting from Richmond, will come back!!Oh! They have scoop ice cream in many flavors!!!

The Williamsburg General Store on Richmond Road is a shop filled with Simply Southern attire, garden flags, and Williamsburg-themed souvenirs. Visitors to the area should definitely visit here to find a gift to remind them of their trip. Located inside the store is Bubba's Ice Cream. They offer many flavors and one non-dairy option, which is a sorbet. Their milkshakes also are in demand.When we visited, they had three staff scooping, and the line moved quickly. This is a popular spot, as they have a BOGO coupon in the visitors' magazine. It's such a great deal! The General Store had Fife and Drum performers playing from 7-9 pm entertaining guests in the comfortable porch. This is a fun place to visit, shop, and enjoy some ice cream.

How can you not love a general store? This general store is like most other general stores you go in. All sorts of local items, and other great items. They have something for everyone. This store offers ice cream.

Great little gift store. Lots of choices and touristy things. Lots of choices in Tervis Tumbler hot/cold tumblers. Friendly staff and to my active and retired Military cohorts ... they offer a military discount!

I did not come here for the ice cream, as so many seem to have done. I came here to browse the items to see if I could find some gifts to take back home with me. I will say that they are not short on any amount of gifts.They have every and anything that you can think of if you are thinking of souvenirs. From shirts to decorative flags. It can take some time to look through everything they have.I browsed a bit and took my time going through the flags as I was hoping to find one that I could use at an upcoming holiday. I ended up waiting to buy anything here. The reason being I was able to find some things, but not all things I wanted.I was hoping to find all things so I didn't need to stop elsewhere. I kept it in mind if I needed to make a stop back here, but there were other stores in the area that could fulfill my need.

We stopped by looking for postcards. The amount of stuff in the store overwhelmed us. We noticed a lot of nostalgic toys, candies, and trinkets. A large amount of oddities and gag gifts to be had for impulse buyers. The bombardment of shelves, stands, and racks in the store left little room to move around, especially with families who had kids running and playing in the store. We left with 2 postcards. Overall, an exhausting shopping experience.

This place has all the fun of traditional tourist trap type of stuff, there is though lots to buy, however I didn't think the prices were very good here. Not a place you need to hit but if you are killing time or need a place to get a bunch of trinkets, this will workVerdict: Go for the ice cream (not to lemon ice one though) and hang out for a good while to shop and just hang out.Sitting: Picnic benches are outside to eat in safety and comfort, about 5 or 6 if I am remembering well.Parking: Easy, own lot, no issues

It was a souvenir shop/tourist trap like you were expecting. Very nice stuff inside. We walked out with 3 different Christmas presents. The ice cream was yummy and the people were nice. They have the coolest stuff that takes you at leas an half hour to walk through. My husband has ADD and just kept wandering off to see the next colorful thing around the corner. About the mom who said they were rude to her 3 year old for touching stuff, 3 year olds don't need to be walking around in there. There were boxes and bins of toys and stuff that says "Williamsburg" on it, from floor to ceiling. They had cute lil glass animals, the size of nickels, on a counter. They had squishy toys and noise makers on the shelves. So someone small enough to grab random stuff and either 1. Walk away and lose/break it or 2. Stuck stuff in their mouths should not be walking around. We will be back again for ice cream

Great little gift shop with a fantastic ice cream store. We visited here several times. Don't skip if you are in Williamsburg

Such a cute little store. The items are a little pricey. I enjoy this little potato peach time I visit Williamsburg.
