First time here for a wedding. It was a rainy-ish day so the ceremony was upstairs instead of outside. It was a pretty venue, but my only complaint would be that the bride/groom were in front of all the windows so I'm betting the photography was really tough with that bright back lighting. Had some cocktails and appetizers after that upstairs. We went downstairs for the dinner which was pretty good. Loved the coconut shrimp! I didn't eat much of the cake because it was way too sweet for me. It was also served to us right before it was time to go back upstairs and felt really rushed. Back upstairs for the dancing and more drinks. The bar ran out of limes really early (like before dinner) and tried to give me tonic without telling me after running out of soda water. That I do not appreciate because I hate tonic, but I also don't want the calories. You should at least tell someone before slipping them something different. All in all though, I had a great time and it was had a beautiful view.

What kind of wedding venue can't accommodate people with walkers? What is this place thinking not to make it clear to their blissful customers? We traveled across country to a wedding at this place, but were unable to go to the reception because there was no lift for my partner with a walker. Before you book this place, consider this for your loved ones that need assistance with stairs.

Let me preface tho with we are a 4 generational VA beach family. Went there for my sisters wedding, which was postponed by covid for a year (and they wouldn't get their deposit back). My mom kept telling my she was worried because the lady they booked with quit and the new lady, Sarah, was clueless about the wedding in general. I kept telling my mom she was just being pessimistic. The place smelt bad but Sarah said "every place by the water smells"...not true. I had no problem at all considering I was coming from out of town I was just excited for the wedding. We went to get pictures quickly on the stairs with the photographer and my sisters kids were finally lined up and right as the photographer was about to click, Sarah comes in and says "you guys can't use the stairs for pictures, we have a party starting in 3 hours." We understood and the photographer said okay after this picture we will go someone else. And then she said "actually, I need to get up the stairs right now..so if everyone could get down so I can get up right now that would be great." I literally looked stunned. I thought she was some bitchy event planner and then my mom said "no, that's the lady who we are working with for the wedding." I was SHOCKED. I'm getting married myself next year and will stay SO SO far away from this Sarah lady and this venue.

STUNNING VENUE! My husband and I recently tied the knot and ended with a fantastic reception at the beautiful WaterTable. Karen and her staff are an amazing team. Well organized, friendly & professional - this hidden gem on the water made all my wedding day dreams come true! Highly recommend.

This venue did not honor the contract and ruined our wedding plans. Sarah is very unstable and impossible to work with. She defamed my husband's character by lying to vendors we were working with. Save yourself the stress and grief, and do not use this venue.

I was left appalled and absolutely horrified by The Water Table's customer service. They denied my family service with no provided reason and no further inquiries. Their customer service values are astonishingly horrible. I would not recommend coordinating with them in any capacity.
