The Village Grill

The Grill is somewhere between a diner and a take out restaurant. Order & pay at the counter, have a seat, and they bring your order to you.The food was very tasty. While it certainly is not a destination restaurant, we would return in if in the area again.

This place was okay. It was a pretty good burger. They have all these cute little signs up with different sayings... one at the register says something cute like if you're mean or have an attitude, we will charge you a $10 fee... BUT... that should apply to the employees too... because that girl at the register didn't crack a smile or act like she was happy to serve anyone but anyway... the food tasted as if it was fresh. It's a small place but it was alright.

We decided to stop in this little diner on a whim and was greatly surprised. The food was cooked to order and everything was really good. The young lady taking the order was very nice and patient with us. Our food did not take long to get to our table and they made sure we had all the condiments that we needed. I ordered the limeade and it was sweet and tart...yummy!!! I will be back to try breakfast....maybe even tomorrow.

I went to the Village Grill today to get a hot dog and limeade. They have changed their hours again and close at 3:30. I was there at 3:25 and they would not serve me. My mom and I have been regular customers. The place was packed so I don't see how they could refuse to serve me. I will never go there again. It's a hole in the wall so the ambiance is what you would expect.

Based on the reviews, I didn't come with super high expectations. However, the food is really good! And so are the prices. All the ladies were super friendly that we're working. Most of our crew got hamburger and cheeseburgers - all were great. Fries were hot and tasty. The only thing I wasn't a huge fan of the corn dog. Looking forward to coming back for breakfast one day.

This tiny little grill has been in Downtown Chester since I was in High School. It's changed owners and the name but still serving up great burgers and fries. The service is fairly quick. I always ask how long before placing my order, some days I just don't have 15 to 20 mins to wait for pickup. They are always honest, which I appreciate. Lunch time is a busy time for them. (That tells ya it's good) It's clean inside and you can eat inside or out as well. They have homemade goodies and ice cream oh shakes too.

Went here for first time for a quick meal to go after a nearby appt. Food was good. However, please consider not cleaning with bleach & other strongly-scented cleaners such as "fabuloso" type cleaners with such strong fragrance and chemicals. After having to wait for my to go order, I left with a headache and the taste of whatever cleaner they had used lingering in my nose and throat. I think the fragrance had even gotten into my drink. Some people are very sensitive to strong odors/fragrance/chemicals not to mention how toxic they actually are for our body. I left there 3 hours ago and can still smell the fragrance on me and in my nose and throat. Ugh. Going home to shower. Chemical sensitivity is real... I truly don't mean this to be in a harsh or negative way, as the place is cute, local, and overall a nice little place to grab a quick bite. Just something for those in charge to consider for their customers who cannot tolerate all that fragrance. It was really too much. Thank you.
