I had a fun time at The Twisted Crab in Portsmouth! We ordered a Halloween themed drink which was tasty. I loved the Crown Apple and gold shimmer in it! We sat at the bar and the two bartenders were friendly. They gave good food recommendations too. I ordered the snow crab legs. They were so tasty and I appreciated the extra butter it came with. The Cajun seasoning was amazing! Place is clean and organized. Parking is ample. It was a nice time!

5-Star Review for Twisted CrabI had an amazing experience at Twisted Crab! The catfish was absolutely flavorful and perfectly crispy--easily one of the best I've had. The shrimp boil was equally incredible, seasoned just right and full of flavor. The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy a meal. Our waitress was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our visit. I can't wait to come back and try more from the menu. Highly recommend!

I'm going to start by saying that was one of the best cooked lobster tails i have ever had. 100000/10!!! The food was very good and fresh. I really liked that the sauce was a dipping situation... I'm used to the bagged boils so I was confused at first on what this was... but it was much less of a mess and i could control how much sauce i had on each bite. That was great. The catfish didn't taste like catfish but it was okay. Now... the whole place smelled like fabuloso... and that's cool to know the place is being cleaned... but it's suppose to smell like a restaurant in there... not a cleaning factory. The toilets are very old and rusted. That needs some help. The waitress was nice... very nice... but never came to check on us... we had our food for almost 10 mins with no plates, utensils, or napkins. One of the waiters, he was in the side room smoking a vape... it was a little weird... but hey... the food was good.

I had such a great experience here. My brother and my husband, and my brother's girlfriend all came for a really nice dinner. We all got boil, and they were delicious. The potatoes, the corn, the sausage, the shrimp, the crab legs, and the lobster... taste is on point.Waitress, she was very informative and sweet. She definitely made our experience that much better. They weren't stingy with their sauces or extra gloves or, everything was just wonderful. The restaurant itself was clean, the bathrooms are clean, and they're waiting to get their liquor license so that they can start serving alcoholic beverages. I'm sure that'll be a great hit once they are able to obtain that. Craving some seafood, head to the twisted crab!

We were excited to have one of the respected seafood chains in our area. The greeting staff was very friendly and greeted us as soon as we walked through the door. Smiles everywhere. We were seated quickly, and Cat, our very attentive waitress, took her time to help us pick our seafood, sauces, and beverages. She provided rave reviews for the dishes we were interested in. It was nice to have a fellow seafood lover as our waiter. The restaurant is nicely decorated and very clean. Lived the shark on the wall when we came in, very cool. The table and booth were comfortable. The food was good. We both had the snow crab, sausage, and shrimp, boil packages with medium garlic spices. The broccoli was cooked, just right, and all the other veggies were great, too. Now, the meal was good, and the service was great. However, the general manager came into our booth area and decided to give another customer thar she knew from another location, the complete rundown of her job. Chrissy shared linfo on the health plan that TC tried to give her now that she was management that she did not need to waste money on because she has an HSA, she went into the process for obtaining a liquor license for this restaurant location (she explained it in great detail down to the posting of the notice to sell alcohol for 30 days so the public can comment or object). Chrissy thought it was just a waiting period but expressed that it would have been a better opening with it. She then went on to explain how she was training the new staff. After we had heard her life story, operational issues she was managing on her own, her health insurance issues, etc. We asked her to come over to our table. We politely asked her if it would be possible for her to allow us to enjoy our meal without the elevated, extended conversation with the guests in the booth sitting diagonally from ours. Christy was highly upset that we dared to ask her to talk a lot lower. She went off on us and told us that talking to customers at the table was her job because SHE was the general manager. We told her we knew her title because she had repeated it enough for the section to know that fact. Chrissy continued to verbally confront us. She let us know in an elevated voice that she was talking just like everyone else in the restaurant was talking, and her talking was not an issue. We informed her that her animated voice was a lot louder than the rest of the entire restaurant. She quickly retorted that WE were being rude to her, and she thanked us for our rudeness. She walked off, murmuring like a petulant child, shooting us dirty looks until we left the restaurant. Chrissy, the general manager, is extremely unprofessional and needs to be trained in how to treat all her customers. She has let her very new title affect the ooeration of her restaurant. We regret we interrupted Chrissy sharing her stories about the restaurant chsin, her benefits, and the workload with her new duties with her welcomed guests.Cat was a great waitress, and she was tipped very well because her level of service was excellent. We provided her with a great Google review because her performance should not be diminished by her general manager's attitude.

Love this new location. The decor is tasteful. The ambiance is much like many of the other seafood boil restaurants in the area. A little noisy for some but great background music for us while enjoying an evening out. The service was slow. Painfully slow. BUT the manager was thoughtful enough to inform us that she was short staffed during the holiday weekend. The food is what you would expect and more from a seafood boil restaurant. Well seasoned and fresh. We ordered items that were not bagged and sauced and they were also very fresh and very tasty. The soft shell crabs are phenomenal. This location is still waiting for their license to serve alcohol. There is ample parking and lots to choose from on their menu. Happy Eating Yeeps!!!

Deceit taste as expected for a twisted crab and our waitress was attentive and friendly. The downside was the bar and the manager. Drinks were made incorrectly and no where close to what was ordered and instead of just acknowledging the mistake and fixing it, the manager decided to do the complete opposite. I can only assume that she was the one who made the drink given her attitude. If so, they need to get actual bartenders and let the bartenders handled the drinks. Her behavior ruined our experience and we won't be returning.
