The Stockpot has been saved in my Yelp places to try for a while, so when my husband suggested an impromptu brunch in Chesapeake we decided to give it a try. We're serial brunchers with pretty high expectations and The Stockpot fully delivered. We arrived about 12pm on a dreary cold Saturday and the small restaurant was almost full but someone still greeted us from behind the counter and said someone would be out to seat us in a moment. The inside is small/cozy but the vibe is warm and clean. No individual tables were available so we opted to be seated without a wait, in the last available seats at the end of the shared community table. The waitresses were friendly and worked efficiently as a team. I'm not a big coffee drinker but after tasting my husbands I ordered a cup, apparently it's sourced from a place in Norfolk. The food was delicious! The surprising star of the morning for us was the rustic bean soup. We shared a small cup of it because I'd heard you have to try a soup when you come....SO flavorful and hearty.I had the avo toast and appreciated that they clearly use fresh avocado only slightly smashed. The potato hash was perfectly seasoned and the rosemary biscuit was amazing. My husband had French Toast which was seasonal with cranberries and a chai vanilla anglaise. Different than anything I've had before but uniquely delicious. A friend joined us halfway through and had a biscuit sandwich which she loved. In addition to the great food, I couldn't help but notice the family friendly, welcoming touches. The bathrooms had feminine products and extra diapers available. Toddler friendly toilet seats (I want to order one for my granddaughter now, lol). Hand sanitizer, free Wi-Fi, and a beautiful spread of baked goods. Can't wait to to come back for a soup dinner... Probably Monday night ramen.

The Stockpot is a welcome addition to Chesapeake, with options and flavors you can't get anywhere else nearby. In just two visits, we've had two completely different flavor experiences. On our first visit, I went with the OG Fried Rice while the hubs had the Battlefield Breakfast. The fried rice had great flavor, but I'm not sure the crispy rice is my favorite texture. The over-easy eggs were perfectly cooked. Similarly, the scrambled eggs on the Battlefield Breakfast were fantastic. Their homemade pork sausage is like no other I've had in a very good way. The only nitpick with his breakfast was that the potatoes in the hash were a little underdone. Since it was a cold day, it was the perfect time to try the S'mores Hot Cocoa, which was rich, decadent, and tasty AF.We went again this weekend to try something different. Since the French Toast is seasonal, I had to try the Pumpkin Cheesecake French Toast. I got one piece versus two because I knew it'd be sweet, and I got a side of that scrumptious sausage to balance the sweetness. That French toast was incredible. It was toasted just right, and the pumpkin cheesecake mousse was silky and smooth. The hubs went with the Pan Con Chicharron, which was tasty and had great texture. The staff here is very friendly and really on top of things. We haven't tried baked goods from the counter yet, but I'll likely grab something next time. It'll be nice to sit outside on the patio for lunch in the Spring. We need more of that around here!

The Chesapeake Stockpot is a fantastic new addition to our neighborhood, located less than five minutes from my home in a lively strip that used to host Big Ugly Brewing on Battlefield Blvd. This spot perfectly captures the charm of Stockpot's other locations with its bright and fresh dining area, open kitchen concept, and bar seating. While the interior seating is more limited than Norfolk's, it offers a cozier vibe and features a spacious patio for outdoor dining--a real perk on sunny days. Up front, the bakery items and merchandise are displayed beautifully, adding to the inviting ambiance. On my visit, we were greeted warmly by the staff and opted to sit outside. The space is impeccably clean, from the dining area to the back of the house, and the setup comfortably accommodates groups as well. The food? Simply amazing. Their diverse menu caters to many palates, and every dish feels crafted with care. I don't know what magic they work into their eggs, but they're incredible. And the biscuits--absolutely to die for! Pair that with a $14 mimosa flight (offered before 10 a.m.), and you've got a breakfast experience worth savoring.I couldn't be happier to have The Stockpot so close by. It's a bright, airy space with a welcoming atmosphere, delicious food, and a patio that's calling my name for future visits. I'll definitely be back, hopefully on a gorgeous day to enjoy their outdoor seating again. Highly recommend checking this gem out!

I've been a fan of The Stockpot since their first store in the Virginia Beach Vibe District over nine years ago. Including Norfolk they now have three locations. Chesapeake did not disappoint. With a newer location in Chesapeake I was excited to try them out for the first time and popped in on a weekday just before close. It's a big hike from my home, but a treat for others that reside in this more rural area. There is good availability of surface parking and it was clear of debris. The Chesapeake Stockpot may be off the beaten track, but it suits them perfectly in my opinion. It's not far from the NC border and I expect OBX traffic in season. The store is less than a mile drive off Highway 168 in a busy strip that once was home to Big Ugly Brewing for many years. They offer outdoor seating with a spacious patio. The dining area is bright and fresh with trademark Stockpot open kitchen and bar like the beach. Interior seating appears less than Norfolk, but certainly more than Virginia Beach inside and patio. Merchandise and bakery items are up front and displayed nicely. Staff were immediately friendly with seating at the bar which was my choice as a solo diner. My eating area was clean as was everything I saw including back house. The space suits groups. Menus and water was made available and I moved quickly with the approach of their closing. They offer a full menu while open. I ordered the Big Island Bowl which consist of Seven Hills Farm beef patty, forbidden black rice, house brown gravy and a sunny side egg. Through the years it's been a delight for me to watch the kitchen and how the staff interacts. It's tells me a lot, but I must say since I was the last customer of the day a bit different. The cooks and staff were also beginning prep for the next day. I witnessed a well oiled machine and execution of my meal. My bowl arrived in about ten minutes, or so and was piping hot. The Forbidden Black rice is unusual and wowzers tasty. The proteins of beef and egg were an exceptional pairing. The gravy was the right amount. This was a uniquely different dish that I loved! I added an apple cake to round it off. It was fresh and the buttercream yum. Another home run and congratulations to Patrick and staff. A well deserved 5 stars and recommend to locals and travelers.

What a treat to have Stockpot here in Chesapeake now. My sister and I met here on a Monday morning for brunch and it was not busy at all. The inside is super cute and they have outside service as well. There really isn't a lot of large tables for bigger parties, but I love how they have a communal table to allow for small tables to sit together if they want. We sat at the counter and had a wonderful breakfast. I decided on the harvest salad with salmon and coffee. Sis had the northender biscuit and the pumpkin French toast. Our food was delicious! My harvest salad was packed with goodness and the apple cider dressing was amazing! Our server was nice and the cooks behind the counter were even more pleasant. I can't wait to go back and try more items off their menu. I would also like to try their ramen nights.

Happened to stroll in early on a Monday. We are new to the area so we figured it would be a good breakfast spot to try out since we have had it in Norfolk. Very relaxed and chill atmosphere, chill music keeps the positive vibes flowing. $4 Mimosasall day on Mondays. Grapefruit mimosas for myself, very refreshing. I ordered the Big Island Bowl with an extra beef patty. Exactly what I was looking for, everything was well prepared and tasted perfect. Definitely recommend the bowl. My wife ordered the Southender, it was tasty, light and fresh. Customer service was top notch as well, I highly recommend this place for a breakfast spot! Looking forward to the next time to try something different.

Happy grand opening, Stockpot Chesapeake! Despite being busy, each person working was attentive and accommodating. All the tables were full when we arrived, but we were able to get a booth in a few minutes. We also were able to fit our husbands in an hour later, when they decided to join us.The food: always on point. OG rice was fresh, rice was cooked nicely, and their kimchi was full of flavor. I had never had a Turkish breakfast, but each component was great. Tzatziki sauce had some kick! Hubs had the Southender and he said he enjoyed it. Rob, the FOH manager, was really welcoming despite being very busy on a Sunday morning AND being grand opening weekend. Cannot wait to return for ramen, trivia, wine dinners - I'll be a fixture here, for sure!

This was our second visit to this restaurant, both visits were great! Today we tried their breakfast. It is a very small restaurant with about 8 tables, a bar set up for possibly 10-12 and outside seating. Today we sat at the bar which was very exciting, we got to see how the kitchen preps and cooks the menu. They have mimosa flights for only $14 before 10am, we did not order them but the couple next to us did, amazing! They seemed to enjoy them. My husband ordered the eggs Benedict and I ordered a pumpkin marshmallow iced coffee and the pumpkin stuffed French toast, one slice! The hollandaise sauce was so good, I snuck in a couple of bites. He loved the biscuit too! My coffee sadly didn't have much pumpkin flavor but I love iced coffee so I did enjoy it. My French toast was so good! I made sure to take a a bite of the French toast with one of the candied pecans, absolutely delicious. As this was on a Saturday morning service was a bit slow but we didn't mind, just mentioning in case you are in a time crunch. All the staff were so friendly and seemed happy to be there, which says a lot about the owners. We loved watching the staff creating those delicious looking cocktails. We cannot wait to try ramen night which is on Mondays. Typically this is a breakfast and lunch restaurant. If you go let me know what you think.

So happy to have Stockpot right down the street! And I love their diverse menu. They seem to have many options to suit many different palates. You walk in and the restaurant is bright and airy. Not a whole lot of seating inside but if the weather is nice, there's plenty of tables outside. Brought a friend here and we were happy with the friendly service and good food. I had the OG fried rice which is a healthy, fresh and delicious spin on an Asian cuisine. Happy to have this new addition to our neighborhood and I will certainly be returning, hopefully on a gorgeous day.
