I love it the chocolate is the best I ever had. The people are even better very friendly and inviting.

This business is every child's dream come true. My granddaughter is a regular here since both her and her mother have serious sweet tooth's. This time she asked her mother if she could invite grandma (me). They didn't inherit their sweet tooth's from me but every now and then I can appreciate something sweet especially if it's as good as the chocolate served here. I was spending time with my grandson so he got an invitation as well. He was so happy and excited to experience fondue. The fruits were fresh and delicious. The pound cake is always a favorite (need to remember to get two portions instead of one), and this time we got pretzels. Everything was delicious and everyone had a good time and throughly enjoyed it. They currently have specials going on for Valentine's Day but I would recommend this place any day of the week.

I absolutely love chocolate, but I'm not a fan of paying outrageous prices for it. While their products are definitely good--especially the presentation--I just can't justify those inflated costs.The young man working there was attentive and smart, checking in on customers, including me, to see if I needed any assistance.Most of the chocolates in the display case are priced by the pound, which can really add up quickly.If I visit this place, it's usually because my sister wants to use her reward points. The candy apple she chose was fantastic. She shared it with me, and the layers of caramel and chocolate, topped with sprinkles on the outside of the Granny Smith apple, were absolutely delicious! I particularly enjoy the dried fruit dipped in chocolate, especially the ginger. The combination of the sweet and rich chocolate with the zesty, chewy ginger creates a delightful contrast in flavors. It's a unique treat that satisfies both my sweet tooth and my craving for something a bit different!

Order the Mayan spice hot chocolate. Tasted like a watered down Swiss Miss with no spice at all and left a weird artificial sweetener taste in my mouth.I expected something more on par to the European hot chocolate for the $7 price tag. Not impressed at all.

If you are looking for something decadent and delicious, this is definitely the place. The entire staff aided me with my purchase. Everything that they recommended was absolutely delicious. The strawberries were the size of my palm. They were juicy and sweet. Plus they are super affordable. I love the diversity of the items in the store. Everything looks so gorgeous. They have pretty awesome drinks as well. You can also choose to eat inside if you'd like. I absolutely enjoyed all of my items. Now the apple was the star of the show. The apple was perfect and huge. The chocolate taste so decadent. I am absolutely visiting over and over again.

Wow! I cannot believe that The Royal Chocolate has been right around the corner from me for almost two years and I just found out about it. This is definitely the best specialty, gourmet candy shop in Virginia Beach. I was killing some time and needed to shop for stocking stuffers, so stumbled inside and was immediately greeted by two things: a decadent scent and incredibly friendly employees.The customer service was what was most impressive to me. Every person working seemed happy to be there and happy to help their customers. I ordered an array of items and spent quite a bit of time chatting with the gentleman who helped me.I ordered a few of their gorgeous apples, a 6-pack of their beautiful truffles and a few of their homemade chocolate treats. I can't actually comment on taste quite yet -- that will come after Christmas, but since I did have a few little samples in store, I feel pretty darn confident that everything will be perfection.

4 Oreos for $17, $50 for 12 chocolate covered strawberries... THEY HAVE LOST THEIR MINDS! As someone who is the complete opposite of frugal and very regularly just blows money on any and everything, I felt like I was being robbed in this place. It's just regular a** chocolate, absolutely nothing special about it. I can't believe people around here actually pay these prices

Stopped in to have a cup of cocoa on the coldest night so far.. place packed busy as can be but the workers killed it the served everyone with a smile and moved the line...Awesome

Customer Service was alright, friendly, but the women we got must've been new, she seemed irritated when we were deciding and also spoke very soft, we had to ask her to repeat herself multiple times, and we had to correct her on one of the prices.Decent chocolate assortment and caramel apples, although expensive, they're alright for a special treat.The main thing i had a problem with was the fact that they're charging $7 for hot chocolate when it's quite literally hot WATER and swiss miss. Considering this is a fancy chocolate place, you'd think they'd have some AMAZING hot chocolate, didn't even bother using milk. needless to say, we were pretty disappointed.
