The Roanoke Island Inn

The Roanoke Island Inn is located near docks with marina views in Manteo, NC. It is a lovely, convenient spot where with easy to find food and drinks nearby as well as a great location for enjoying the Outer Banks in general. We easily visited Corolla, Duck and Kitty Hawk while also enjoying Manteo. We would love to stay here again in the future! The Inn itself is very clean and has a lot of interesting history that Lee (the manager) will happily share with you. The rooms are well kept and super clean with plenty of amenities available. The continental breakfast is thoughtfully provided with fresh fruit salad and an array of cereal, bread and other options. They also have plenty of coffee and a tea station that I particularly loved with an array of options and even teapots on hand.The grounds are beautiful with plenty of blooming flowers and green space to enjoy yourself and hang out. We particularly liked the very friendly koi in the koi pond which came over to say hi when we approached.

What a delightful place! It's so quaint and just loved the gorgeous reception/breakfast area. They give you a basket of goodies for your room and your are free to come get anything you need - including spirits - anytime from the food area. Location was perfect on the waterfront and within walking distance of many fun activities and shopping. Both ladies working the place during our stay were absolutely wonderful! When Pam heard it was my birthday, she left a free bottle of sparkling wine in the fridge for us. Highly recommend staying there - worth every penny!

I had an event to attend in Manteo last weekend and searched on line for a place to stay in town. The inn looked so charming we had to try it out. So glad we did. The grounds are lovely, the rooms clean and comfortable, spacious and with a charm never found in regular hotels. Amenities were just lovely as well and unless you like to go out for breakfast there is no need here, there is plenty provided. We spent a good deal of time rocking in the chairs in the breezeway looking out over the sound. Pam took excellent care of us and we felt like old friends from our first day there. She alone would make it worth going back!

We recently spent a weekend at the Roanoke Island Inn. We found it warm, inviting and a wonderful retreat. The Inn is located in the historic downtown area and you can walk to everything in town from the Inn.The room was well appointed, clean and comfortable but what really sets the Inn apart is the common spaces. The library room with its painted ceiling is warm and cozy, the perfect place to select a book and then linger over a coffee. Upstairs the porch with the rocking chairs provides a wonderful place to enjoy the breezes off the harbor and provides a wonderful view of the lighthouse.Hope we can visit again soon.

This was a last minute stay on a business trip. Dee and Sara were wonderful to work with. The room was comfortable and clean. I particularly liked the view, of the harbor from the rocking chairs on the 2nd-floor balcony. They do not do a full-service breakfast. Rather it is a continental, which worked well for my tight schedule. The fresh-cut fruit was nice, but fresh juice rather than the juice machine, that they have at a Hampton Inn, would have been better. A very enjoyable stay.

Absolutely wonderful! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Roanoke Island Inn. It's beautiful, clean and inviting - just lovely!

Our family recently spent the Weekend at The Roanoke Island Inn. We all loved this sweet Cozy Bed/Breakfast. Can't say enough Pam she is just awesome! I can't wait to come back. Thanks Pam for all your help!!!!!

WOW! Let me start by saying this Bed & Breakfast exceeded our expectations greatly! From the moment we stepped foot on the grounds, we could tell the inn + surrounding area was well-kept; manicured landscaping, blooming flowerbeds, a beautiful koi pond and various areas for relaxing & unwinding on the property, including a tucked away gazebo. An added BONUS- complimentary bikes are kept on the property for guests to bike around the town!Upon arrival, we were greeted by the lovely innkeeper, Pam and her cute, little dog Peanut. She made sure we were all set for our stay; she gave us a tour, offered suggestions for both restaurants + excursions and even leant us a cooler to use at the beach! The reception area was quaintly decorated with so many local touches. Within the reception area, there is a butler pantry/half kitchen complete with a mini fridge filled with complimentary beverages, a fully-stocked snack bar, and around the clock coffee + tea for guests! Our room was very cozy, clean and complete with bathroom amenities. There was so much natural light beaming through the windows with a beautiful view of the sound, and a connected breezeway patio outside the front door for guest use. Everything this inn has to offer from its staff, including the innkeeper, Pam to its amenities + surrounding areas to unwind in make it well worth the stay when visiting Roanoke Island!

The cutest inn. Megan and Lee were very helpful and made our stay comfortable. The entire property is lovely and magical - the perfect little getaway. Easy access to surrounding beaches. Would recommend!

I cannot recommend this place enough. The accommodations are very comfortable and the grounds are beautiful. Located within walking distance of the downtown area made it very convenient as well. Our hostess, Theresa, was amazing! She was super knowledgeable of the area and provided us with a lot of nice suggestions! If you have the choice to book this spot, you will not be disappointed.
