Who knew such deliciousness was hiding in the Mechanicsville area of Richmond!When I walked in I noticed how nice, spacious and very clean it was! After peeping the bar area, I ordered the Skinny Margarita to get things popping-- light, just right and refreshingly tasty. Now to the appetizers... The local fave, queso fundido. That molten, cheesy goodness that literally melts in your mouth. Next up, the elote! It's so good, you might have to ask them to run it back a second time! HahaNow, let's get into the main event. The Steak LALO -- a grilled tender rib-eye and shrimp, topped with melted cheese... Talk about a flavor party in my mouth!And I cannot forget to mention the Pomegranate Margarita? Y'all. Chef's kiss. Oh, and shoutout to Susan, the bartender! She was super friendly and made the best drinks to complement my meal. Cheers to her!P.S. there's a nice patio! Go check it out y'all!

This has become a stop for our family when passing through Mechanicsville. We aren't super familiar with the area, so we were excited to find not only a good Mexican option, but one open late enough we could make it to it after sitting in traffic for a few hours hahaEasy surface parking right by the door; deceptively large place with lots of seating options. An even larger menu! I wish we had reasons to be passing by more often, I want to eat my way around the menu haha The few times we've been I haven't been able to pass up getting the Chicken Chimichangas. Similarly, my sister always gets the Chorizo Quesadilla. So that's what I can personally speak to, but would assume that most dishes are equally well made and satisfying :)Service is friendly and at least quick when we've been there.A highlight of our trips whenever we are passing by and looking forward to the next time!

If you want good Mexican Food, this is the place..and for the food, I give them 5 stars! BUT, as for service..they get a 1! We came in on Cinco De Mayo. I realize it is a busy day...but to wait for an hour and a half to get our food..there is NO excuse! I spoke to the Manager to express my concerns and he says "it's Cinco De Mayo, mistakes have been made" and rather than excepting responsibility, chose to blame everyone and everything around him...then tops it off by saying "what do you want me to do for you?"...I said, just get me my food please...and he walked away I guess the customer doesn't count at the Patron in Mechanicsville

COVID review- I grabbed some lunch here on a day off and was pleasantly surprised by how fast the service was! My lunch order took less then five minutes to prepare. I decided to grab a margarita and I'm sooooo glad I did! My margarita was blended very well and easy to drink. I ordered a grilled shrimp entree from the dinner menu and it was just okay. However my table side guacamole was deliciously fresh with the perfect amount of spice. The seating and service were good. There was plenty of space between tables and the staff were all wearing mask. Overall I will definitely be back again for the Margaritas and the Guac and I will try a different entree.

Ordered takeout for dinner tonight with some margaritas. They waited until I got there to make the drinks so they didn't get watered down which I thought was very thoughtful. Their poblano rice and their potatoes were delicious! I got the scallop and shrimp quesadilla. The flavors were good but it had more onions on it than meat and only one or two scallops. I wouldn't get that again but I'd definitely try other menu items. All in all everyone enjoyed their meal and drinks! The restaurant itself wasn't overly big and there was music but it wasn't super loud. I was on the phone and was able to hear perfectly fine. They have a beautiful patio set up so when the weather is nice it will be so great to go sit out there and eat. They even have adorable photo props for kids to pose with. It is a very family friendly environment.

I love Mexican restaurants. This Mexican restaurant usually has good service and great food but today me and my family had to wait 20 minutes just for our water. If it was packed I would understand but there was plenty open tables. The food on the other hand was great as always I got the Baja fajitas that I definitely recommend.
