The Oceanfront Grille

We made reservations on Wednesday for Thursday night dinner for 9. Definitely make reservations! Our waitress, Sydney, was welcoming and friendly and extremely knowledgeable about all of the menu options. A beautiful setting looking out over the ocean but there is a long walk from the parking area and many steps but we'll worth it!

Good food, reasonable pricing, & excellent service!Won't go away hungry!!! Definitely will come back!

The food was truly amazing and the service was fantastic! **Make reservations** I only took off a star because it's hard to find and very compact.... Again make reservations. The crab cakes are 98% crab ‍, the shrimp Wellington is light and crispy and if you don't get the salmon you've made a mistake! While there a thunderstorm rolled in which made for a memorable dinner!!! You should most certainly go!!!!

Me and my family have been coming to OBX for over 10 years, and this was the first time we have heard of Oceanfront Grille. And we were totally blown away with great food and awesome service from Kelly and staff. Now I will day we were a little skeptical about trying the crab cakes, but when we heard the owner was from Maryland, we breathed a sigh of relief. Oceanfront Grille will be the only place that I will be getting a crab cake from in OBX. Everything was delicious, from the lamb chops, to the shrimp Wellington, to the calamari, the food was phenomenal. We will be adding the Oceanfront Grille to our list of restaurants whenever we visit OBX. So if your in the Corolla section of OBX, make it your justice to stop in and have dinner

Place is very difficult to find via GPS if you're not from the area. More signage pointing you the right way would be helpful. Service was actually pretty good, the waitress was attentive and friendly. The view was okay, you can see the ocean but not really the beach. It was windy the day we went so that was kind of a bummer but obviously not the restaurant's fault. They might want to do something about the flies though, if there is anything to do - so many flies around our food and drinks it got really annoying. My wife and I ordered strawberry daiquiris (because vacation lol) and didn't really have much alcohol in them. The food came out and my wife and I both ordered the special, a NY strip steak with garlic butter and fries. Fries were crispy and really good. My steak was ordered medium rare and came out medium (at best). Waitress offered to take it back but I was too hungry to wait longer. Overall I'd say it was just okay. Maybe if I had ordered something different I'd have felt better about the experience, but probably wouldn't try again.

Nice raised outdoor deck with an oceanfront view. Located within a private community by their pool. The lot is open to the public after 5 PM. Our servers were kind and gave great food recommendations. We had a nice ocean breeze during our meal. We started with a pound of old bay steamed shrimp. These were fresh and delicious. The shrimp were a nice size too. Everyone enjoyed their cocktails as well. The Sangria was a hit. Several people got the blackened salmon with mashed potatoes and snap peas. The salmon was fresh and moist. No fishy taste. Potatoes were super creamy and the vegetable was fresh. Another person in my party got their crab cakes on their goat cheese salad which they said they enjoyed. Definitely recommend checking this place out. Reservations are recommended.

Exceptionally accommodating! Went the extra mile to re-arrange things so that our party of 13 with some children could make an early evening reservation. Nikki was so very helpful!Joan D.

This place could be a solid 4 if it weren't for their fly problem and the fact that it isn't stroller or handicap friendly. Only way up is through 2 flights of stairs. This may be our own fault for not researching well enough. the food was good and views were great. When concerns regarding the flys were made, our waitress said it was worse the day prior. Clearly a problem they are aware of but they can only do so much about. And there is no indoor seating. Unfortunately, it ruined the experience for us and we likely won't be returning.
