Fabulous local florist that knows the industry and understands customers' needs; they went above and beyond on a recent order for a friend that lost a loved one. At first visit, Sara and James were friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable. My vague wishes: "she likes low maintenance, maybe an orchid or an arrangement in the $75 range." She offered to create a fresh and unique arrangement in summer colors AND have an orchid dressed so I could choose; she even ok'd pickup outside of their normal hours. Turns out, I ended up needing it a day sooner...and they came through, calling to update me when needed. At pick-up, James said "I saw this peach double orchid and knew it was for your friend." That's personalized service at its finest!

What a charming floral shoppe in the West Ghent area of Norfolk. It was my 2nd visit here in about 4 months as I was in town for a not so celebratory occasion, yet needed florals. I had a connection to this shoppe the 1st time, so it was a no brainer to visit them again.Small in size but this place has large character. Modern style mixed with luxurious flowers and design. Yes, the floral designers/creators can make the tradition flowers of yester years but what made me stop in was their creative composition of creating contemporary florals that encompassed textures and elements that made them more unique than some of their contemporaries.Even more impressive with me was the interpersonal skills and customer service of Sarah & Laurel. Personable and engaging with an eye for detail to create your vision when giving them a modest description of what I wanted. And it's always a plus when a business owner remembers you from a previous sell, especially when you are not a resident of the area.My request was for 6 corsages with white flowers with a royal blue ribbon and each had to be unequalled expressing their own character. They nailed it on the head. I had requested to pick them up the next day at a later time but was in the area in the late morning and called to see if they could accommodate an early pick up. They were able to meet my request and I was more than pleased with their work.Sarah and Laurel, you have a great business and your personalities add to the charm. You will definitely be my floral shoppe of choice when in the area and in need of something beautiful and special in floral design.

This is a florist that I recommend to everyone. They have been in business for over 25 years! They truly are a gem to Norfolk and offer a superior product to what other florist in the area are serving up. They do it all at The New Leaf! Anything from Weddings to anniversaries, to big events and even those "just because" moments. They have a wide variety of high end flowers and they are truly able to to create what ever your heart desires. The customer service is out of this world. When you call, they pay attention to every little detail, from making sure to get your card message just right, to adding that special touch for the recipient. I have never been disappointed in the work The New Leaf has done. It is truly the unique in floral design!

The owner is extremely nice and helpful. I've probably purchased about 5 bouquets here over the years. The flowers have always been great and lasted for quite a while. I'm thankful to have such a great shop nearby.

We hired The New Leaf for a rehearsal dinner. They created the most beautiful centerpieces with coordinating bud vases. With a few photos and a cocktail napkin for inspiration they exceeded my expectations in creating some of the most gorgeous arrangements I have ever seen. Highly recommend!

Wonderful spring arrangement for my wife's birthday. Chose the tulips and let them fill it in. Very nice job.

I'm new to the area and the person that took my call was friendly and knowledgeable. She said she would be making the arrangement herself. She called to let me know that Dustin, the driver, was leaving it in a secure, shady location. I appreciated this so much!!! The recipient sent me a picture and it was stunning! The most unusual arrangement I've ever ordered. New Leaf, I'll be back!

The staff was kind, helpful and friendly when placing the order. When I picked up the three corsages and boutonniere they where wilted, brown around the edges and looked old. I was very disappointed

Unfortunately due to the pandemic I was unable to visit Virginia and wanted to send a special arrangement to celebrate my mother's 90th birthday. I found this company on Yelp, and submitted a request. Almost immediately I received a response and called to speak with the owner. Since I don't know a lot about flowers, I left it up to her to come up with something using her creativity. The arrangement was amazing! My family was so impressed, and my mom extremely happy! I feel lucky to have found this florist and will use them for all of floral needs. Highly recommended! Thanks!

We tried to order flowers for a funeral. I continued to leave messages which were never answered. We finally made a donation to a designated charity. I understand they are in business but I have no idea how to get in touch with them or if you did what their work would look like, or if it would arrive!
