The Mole Hole

We enjoyed lunch at The Gathering Place at The Mole Hole today, and it was delicious! The cafe is housed within The Mole Hole boutique, which sells gifts, decor items, jewelry, purses, and ladies clothing. Today's review really is about The Gathering Place cafe, which is why we went to The Mole Hole. It's absolutely lovely. They have about 4 to 5 tables that could accommodate 4 people. Plus they had a cute table for two. The tables are elegantly decorated with linen floral napkins on pretty placemats. See photos. The food is light fare, but with ample portions. We started with iced teas (they also offer beers, wine, and champagne). For entrees, we ordered the spinach salad with salmon and pecans as well as the ham and spinach quiche with the southern pea salad. The pea salad contained peas, corn, pimento, and shredded cheddar cheese -- quite unique and very good. My husband can't stop raving about it. We really enjoyed our meals. All food is made in house. See photos. Service is prompt and friendly. You pay at the final checkout up front so you can pay for food and any shop purchases together. Bring cash for your tip, as their receipts don't include a line for a gratuity since they are primarily a shop. The restaurant is open Monday through Saturday for lunch until 3 p.m.

Very lovely niche place was sitting for just four tables so reservations is recommended. Short menu more than ample to please. The desserts made on site beautiful and delicious. We had those house-made coconut, pie warm. You're surrounded by beautiful home furnishings only at the highest quality, lovely, dried flower, arrangements, and seasonal wreaths. There's also a little boutique attached. Brighton accessories are sold here . Enjoyable. Soft music.. nice

Love the Mole Hole. Lunch is wonderful. The staff are marvelous and so helpful. The shop itself is beautifully laid out.

Great place to eat if you like it a little special and fancy. Lovely china and glassware, even an iced tea spoon. Simple southern food with lovely desserts. Shopping here is fun with a large selection and good prices.

A lovely dining experience in the midst of one of Williamsburg's most charming gift shops. There are only a few tables (be sure to make reservations ahead of time) and a limited menu because food service isn't the Mole Hole's main focus, but the table settings are as elegant as the food and the service. Before you eat (or afterwards -- or both), be sure to browse the shop, which is filled to bursting with jewelry (estate, vintage, and new), distinctive clothing and accessories, and home decor ranging from unique and colorful placemats to seasonal china and unusual tchotchkes. The ladies who staff the Mole Hole are knowledgeable, pleasant, and as delightful as their merchandise. One visit to the Mole Hole will make you a customer for life!

Absolutely lovely! We stopped in while away on vacation and stepped into a refined lady's la la land :) The shop is lovely and filled with oodles of delightful finds. The staff there are extremely helpful and welcoming and are always available to help you find what you need or to talk about pieces for sale in the shop. There is a great selection of estate jewelry, a section filled with Brighton and another filled with Pandora. Also on hand are other sections of jewelry as well as a large assortment of purses. The clothing is of high quality, comfortable and fitting for lady's who lunch :) There was a lovely baby section that had a great selection of items to gift to new moms. There is a cafe within the shop that had a solid selection of items to eat as well. I'd highly recommend stopping in if you have a chance!

I loved this quaint little shop! Had so many beautiful, unique pieces! I highly recommend stopping by and picking out something special for yourself or as a gift for someone!

I stopped by this unique shop while visiting my wife's and mine favorite place on earth. Regina & Pat are most helpful. Williamsburg is most unique having pottery and pictures of historic buildings. There is also a food area that makes it one stop shopping.

Great place to shop and have lunch. They have very unique and different pieces for home decor and clothing that you will not see 6 other people wearing.The food is delicious as are the desserts . I would only say it is not a place for children the menu is unique and small nothing a young person would want but what they have is delicious. They employees are very attentive and pleasant

Beautiful clothing and items. A little pricey for my taste. Spent 20 minutes in store before spoken to by any employee.
