The Lazy Cow Ice Cream Parlor - Mechanicsville

Both the decoration and the employees were cheerful and welcoming. The employees were also very patient with us as we sampled flavors and were being indecisive lol. The coconut almond glee ice cream was smooth & delicious. I got it in a waffle cone bowl. I love that they made the waffle cones to order so it was fresh. However, I think my bowl should have been cooked a little longer. It was on the soft side and I wanted it a little more brown & crunchy.

We love visiting this local ice cream shop in Mechanicsville as they have rotating flavors, so it's a little bit of a surprise as to what they will have each time we go. This also gives us a chance to try different things that we may not have tried if they kept everything the same all the time. They always have a wide variety of options when it comes to flavors from fruity to chocolate-y! And their menu has great options including basic scoops in cups or cones to milkshakes and fancy sundaes. There is a great amount of seating in the front as you walk in, so there is usually no issue finding a spot to sit and enjoy once you've ordered. My only wish would be that they would make name cards for the different flavors in the dip cabinets and add small descriptions of what they are so it could save time for the workers and patrons to make decisions on what they want without have to ask/answer a bunch of questions. Also, it can take a little bit to get through the line if they are busy because they usually only have 1 person working in the shop at a time, so it takes them longer to help customers by themselves. Overall, the ice cream is delicious, and a great small business addition to the mechanicsville area!

DELISH! had blueberry lemon and it was perfection. Service was friendly and she was happy to explain the menu -lots of options!. Will be back to try peach cobbler and banana pudding! Adorable decor too!

Ice cream was good but its honestly nothing to special. The staff was very sweet. When you walk in you definitely get that ice cream shop smell. Its very clean and neat. The prices were not bad considering how expensive ice cream shops are nowadays. Overall I personally wouldn't go back out of spite but they have different little events that might peak interest. I went on August 17th and it was Bluey Day and it has some Bluey decor.

Ice cream was good nothing special. Not many flavors that excited our children. There was a birthday going on that we had to walk through as soon as we walked in the door and watch out for wandering kids and people in order to walk out. Service was good. Inside seemed older and nothing exciting. Couldn't sit down if we wanted to because of the party. Kind of inconvenient on a weekend afternoon.

This is the best icecream shop around. Love the design and the staff is always friendly.
