The hotels itself doesn't look bad, and the staff was friendly. Unfortunately I had an issue with the AC in my room. Whenever it turned on it was so loud and abrupt that I was jolted out of my sleep consistently throughout the night. I tried just turning it off but then the room would get too hot. So I didn't get much sleep during my stay. Also, I noticed they charged me $26 after my stay. I didn't think much of it until I called a month later asking what the charge was for and they told me "parking". I didn't even have a car while I was there. They refunded me but make sure you check your statements so that you're not getting any additional charges. I personally wouldn't stay here again, but the pickings are slim for good hotels in that area.

We were in town for a few days in early Oct for an event. I grew up here and am very familiar with the area, and actually partied at this hotel a few times back in the 90s when it was a Radisson. This was my first time staying overnight, though. The location can't be beat - it's right on the water and mere steps from everything downtown Hampton has to offer (Hampton U, bars, restaurants, live music, museums, etc.). Quick and easy access to I-64 for a short drive to Williamsburg, Newport News, or Norfolk/VB. We stayed on the top floor in a corner room, and could not believe how high the ceilings were! It was like being in a church or something. I had read prior complaints about noise from the 2nd floor pool/nightclub and rowdy guests presumably from there, which is why I chose a room on the top floor and opposite side of the bldg from the pool/club, but it was very quiet during our stay. Although, I think the pool and nightclub were already closed for the season at the time we were there, so take that for what it's worth. Our room was quite large, very clean, and nicely decorated. For me, the bed was way too soft. I know some people are into that, but I have back problems and a super soft bed can cause my back to go out. A couple other small issues were that our sink had some drainage issues, and the paint was peeling off the shelf/basket thing in the shower that's the only place for your toiletries while showering. The paint came off on the soap, which then came off on our bodies.Front desk staff was really friendly and provided us with extra toothpaste when my bf forgot his. We did not get to try the restaurant - we were planning on it after checkout because we had some time before heading to the airport, but it was not open at lunchtime on a Monday. I do think this is the best lodging option in the immediate area and would stay again anytime I need to return.

Good location if you have to be near Hampton Yacht club but this is by far the worst Hilton I've ever stayed at. Rooms are a hodge podge of new furniture and old carpets/damaged walls. Management and staff could care less about basic requests like enough towels for guests to shower or providing housekeeping in a timely manner despite requesting the night before. The staff at breakfast is downright hostile minus the sweet girl ringing up everyone's checks at the front kiosk. Avoid at all costs if you can or book if you find a room under 150$. Definitely not worth 200$+ per night. DO BETTER Hilton.

Nice hotel, felt safe across the property, including garage facilities. Over looks the bay. Beds we very soft and plushy. If you need a firm bed you won't like this one. Only negative, while the room was clean, it was not restocked with body wash in the shower, also the fridge had in opened drinks left from previous guest. I suppose housecleaning did only a highlight flip preparing for my arrival.

Proximity: It was 1.5 miles to a family home as my husband and I were in town for a funeral. Structure: This building has stood since I was a little girl, just owned by different companies so it is an older hotel. My husband thought we were at the wrong hotel as he said it doesn't "look" like a Hilton. Views: Spectacular view of Hampton Marina and Hampton University. Privacy/SoundProofing: Non-existent. To be fair we had a room with an adjoining door. I could hear the guy next to us ask if someone used the bathroom while on the phone one morning. I could hear the person go into their bathroom on the other side of us as well. I could hear conversations in the hall clearly as well. I really wish there was hotel etiquette. While we weren't there to have a good time, it would be nice if people didn't have robust/audible conversations in the hallways at all times of the night. The DOORS! Awful. They slam. Everyone slammed their doors. No one held it to close softly. That's all we heard for 3 days, one of which my husband was actively working. Soft close doors should be considered for next upgrade. Design: See photos. The paint was half done in the corridors. Lobby and room furniture are nicely designed. Although it seemed like too much furniture for the room. The designer chose dual sliding barn doors, which the left door competes with the opening of the room door. There was what appeared to be knicked paint and blood stain on the wall above the magnifying mirror. Cleanliness: Overall room was clean as well as lobby and elevators. The bathroom shower has a vent in it which needs some attention. Lots of dust and debris which may have been present on upper shower tiles. Customer Service: This was the last of our compiled stays to achieve diamond status. No one gave the typical "thanks for being a Hilton member" spiel when we checked in. No water was in our room, nor given as promised when asked. Parking Garage: Convenient; charged $10/day on honor system. There really is no way to check. The magnetic barrier never comes down and the ticketing machine doesn't work. Parking is taken quickly for those staying in the hotel if there is a daytime event going on. Elevator does not work. Never pack more than you can carry. And, don't buy heels you can't traverse several flights of stairs.

Very beautiful place to stay. Smells amazing in the lobby, room was so pretty with the harbor view. Outside is so peaceful and quiet. Spent time speaking to the lord at the water front. Recommend

The room was dirty, the towels were dirty they didn't want to change the sheets, this was a bad experience. The staff was nice but that's the extent of it.

Staff was friendly, bed was very comfortable, however, the room was not the cleanest and it was EXTREMELY noisy!!! There was a DJ at the pool with loud music that could be heard throughout the hotel even on upper floors and guests were extremely noisy with lots of loud talking in the hallways and elevators. It made it very difficult to get a good night's sleep. Unfortunately, I would not be able to recommend this hotel and will not stay here again.

This Hilton needs a bit more management input. Pool not open to children on a July weekday afternoon. Housekeeping completely missed our room one day.
