The Globe

It's amazing this place is still in business - customer service is bad, along with their attitude towards any new potential customers. I had been into the shop over year ago. My daughter & I entered, looking thru different items, as though we were not together. The saleswoman, not the owner, couldn't decide which of us to attack first, not whom to offer assistance to. I cut her off saying I was looking for a particular designer, she then set her sights on making my daughter feel out of place, as though she (or I) was above our financial means. Seriously, are you really going to profile in your hilltop retail establishment? Had heard this place had an attitude & definitely lived up to the hype. Will NOT be back here ever again.

I had a wonderful experience in The Globe Gift Shop. Their collection of gifts is unparalleled. I was able to cross several people off my gift list after my visit to The Globe. The sales staff were very courteous yet not overly solicitous. I found the quality of their items to be stellar. I will most definitely shop there again! --Amy

Their return policy is horrible. I went in to purchase a necklace with my sister for our mother for Christmas. When our mom wore the necklase on Christmas Day, she noticed that it was irritating her skin and eventually cut her neck. I called and explained my concerns to the owner (Ann) and she said that I had missed the window for the refund. Being that i am in the service industry, i was taken back by her response. If there is one time of year that your refund policy should be extened, this is that time. Overall it was a horrible expierence and I could not believe how argumentative the owner was. I will never shop in this store again and would advise against buying "gifts" there.

I had a fabulous experience shopping at Globe in Virginia Beach. One of my friends was registered at Globe for her wedding and so I had to stop in to pick out a gift. Ann- the owner was at the shop and was incredibly helpful showing me most of the items that were on the registry so I didn't waste tons of time wandering around aimlessly. I was able to find the beautiful/quality bath towels that were requested and I was also able to find a few unique pieces for my house. I will definitely be back to the Globe and I know the bride would be happy to recommend the Globe for all your registry needs!

Wonderful store - great variety of merchandise - friendly and helpful staff - will shop there again.
