The General Public

I grabbed dinner here the other day. I tried the buffalo wings. They had a combo of smoke and grill flavoring. I also tried the coconut curry shrimp public bowl, which was very flavorful. I also got a Caribbean jerk public bowl. There wasn't as much heat with the jerk, but if you don't like any spice, I recommend getting something else. The beans in the Caribbean bowl weren't as tender as I would've liked. They have a good amount of tables and seating. The staff is really nice and answered all of my questions. The prices are reasonable. I'd go back and try something else.

3.5 RatingFirst visit and I thought you ordered at the counter but after I stood at the counter for a minute the waitress asked if I was dining in and said I could sit and she would come to me. She was friendly throughout. I ordered the turkey sandwich and fries. It arrived timely and the fries were hot and crisp. The roof had a leak due to recent storms but they had a large trash can under it. Would not be good for large groups if they were busy.

Second time trying their food and I'm still amazed by the flavors. Wasn't sure how authentic the jerk chicken would taste but it had the perfect amount of seasoning and spices to taste like actual jerk chicken. Wasn't a fan of the raisins in the carrot slaw, which I had to pick out. Defintiely a small restaurant worth checking out!

Me and my coworkers normally eat here maybe once a week nine times out of 10. I'll grab a nice juicy burger but I'm trying to be a little healthy conscious so I got a steak bowl. It was a really good chimichurri sauce on point with it could've did a little more chimichurri sauce, but either way it was great Asper extra mushrooms got them, Yummo

My wife and I went to The General Public. Sat immediately. Server Grace came over. She was very polite. Service was great. Food was good. Ambiance was good. My wife had the Salmon bowl. She loved it. I had the burger with an egg and fries. It was a good burger. Enjoyed the entire experience.

A bit dark to walk in on a bright day but the space is clean. Ordering at the counter is efficient then the meal was brought to my table though it took a little longer than expected. I ordered a shrimp wrap. Upon receipt I found I had gotten a chicken wrap instead. I did take a bite before realizing it was wrong. I was not impressed with it. After pointing out the error, I was brought the correct meal very quickly. It exceeded my expectations and was very tasty. Worth a try if you're nearby.

I went to The General Public on Grandy, they are fairly new. I had the Carolina Burger with pulled pork and coleslaw with waffle fries. The patties were balled by hand, so the burger wasn't too dense. I won't do justice in my description of the burger patty, but it was juicy, really good, and very messy. They made it perfectly medium rare.For desert, I had red velvet cheescake balls. They were delicious. I hate myself for eating so much, but it's so worth it. The staff was incredibly attentive and friendly. You will not be disappointed.

The customer service was excellent and efficient. I really appreciated how calm and relaxed the whole experience was. 5

I had lunch with two friends on a Saturday afternoon. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. I had the Philly burger and the garlic Parmesan waffle fries. They were fantastic! My friend said his Carolina burger was perfect. I plan to come back soon for a Thai bowl.

This is a great restaurant if you want some good home cooking food full of flavor. This is my second time getting the jerk chicken bowl and I haven't been disappointed yet. It has beans, rice, cabbage, chicken and a slaw. I'm personally not a big fan of the slaw and the cabbage on the sweeter side but if that's your thing you would love it.
