The Gala 417

My husband and I came here for my friends wedding. Beautiful venue. There are a bit of a couple of cons . When you walked into the venue there was something leaking from above so the rug was soaking wet , they should have been a bucket there or a caution sign to go around it. When we went inside the venue it was very cold. I wish they have had the heat going. The venue decided to have the heat going while the bride and groom was exchanging the vowes which wasn't a smart move because I could barely here them. The cocktail hour was outside. I honestly wish they had more heaters outside because with the drizzling and the brisk weather it was a bit cold outside. The cocktail food was very good. They had a fruit and cheese board , chicken and waffle in a glass cup , shrimp cocktail and much more. We were excited for them to tell us that we can go inside cause we were all too cold. They had a Ceasars salad that was pretty good , then the entrees came out. I decided to get the pasta with the vegetables which was very good. I just wish it would had came out hot to warm not warm to cold. Other then that everything was overall very good.

After our initial consultation, my husband and I knew right away that we wanted The Gala to be our wedding venue for several reasons.First, we loved that it was all-inclusive. Having the ceremony and reception be in the same place, plus not having to worry about hiring a caterer/bartender made wedding planning hassle-free. They also have an awesome rental collection with items like table numbers, card boxes, signs, etc. for very reasonable prices. Their preferred vendor list also got us special offers for our photographer and DJ.Second, the staff is great. I was pretty clueless about wedding planning, but Amberly and her team were amazing at promptly answering any questions I had, no matter how small! Also, shoutout to Duane at the bar who took care of my husband and me all night!Third was the day of coordination that's included. I knew that I wanted to relax and enjoy my wedding day as much as possible, so having a day of coordinator was major. Lyndsey was absolutely amazing and exceeded my expectations. She went above and beyond on our wedding day, from setting up decor to sewing buttons on the best man's blazer to using club soda to get my makeup stain out of my husband's blazer, she was a rockstar. Mariah, who was our point of contact post-ceremony, was also awesome! Any concerns I had she was on top of right away.I will 10000% recommend The Gala 417 to anyone looking for a wedding or event venue. It was worth every penny and we are beyond happy with our choice.

We got married here last year & it is absolutely the perfect venue. It's stunning inside, the staff is amazing and the food is delicious. The owner Amberly is an absolute angel who is happy to help with whatever is needed to make your dreams come true. The are an all inclusive venue and I can't recommend them enough, they made planning a breeze and we extremely helpful the whole way through!

Came here as a guest to a wedding and wasn't sure what to expect. They do a good job of using their space's set up to their advantage. The organization,placement, and overall flow seemed organized and not hectic or messy. The space itself was well lit and clean, staff was friendly and attentive and everything went off without a hitch.

I usually only take time to write reviews when I feel inspired by great service, but after attending an event this weekend at the gala, I knew I had to! The event space is beyond elegant and gives a luxurious impression, which the staff did not disappoint in upholding. From appetizer hour to dinner, the food was fresh and delicious. The portions were filling, and I was impressed with the efficient service. I had a fantastic experience! Thank you so much to the Gala 417 and their amazing team for making the night so magical.

I attended a lecture there today! The atmosphere was amazing and beautiful! The meal was horrible! The salad was slimy and disgusting, the chicken was covered with salt base something which covered the hard breadsticks, also! I cannot imagine what chef would allow this plate to leave the kitchen without observing or tasting his food!

The Gala 417 was our first and last stop when touring wedding venues. With the amount of praise we had heard over the years for this beautiful establishment we already knew there would be no match anywhere else. Amberly and Cole have OUTDONE themselves with a one stop shop that runs as a well oiled machine. Throughout the planning process we never hit high stress. Everything is laid out for you including an amazing list of preferred vendors and rentals and if we ran into questions along the way we were taken care of immediately. I cannot stress enough how seamless they made the process and how perfect they made day of. All of the details, the service, and little things down to bustling my dress for me, saving us an appetizer spread, making sure we had a drink all night, a shoulder tap as needed for a timeline reminder for everything we had planned, and a staff full of smiles was just perfect. To the entire staff and The Gala Girls that pulled off running our timeline seamlessly in the most perfectly decorated eatablishemnt with the best recommended vendors we CANNOT thank you enough. If I would have set the bar for expectations for the night the team would have far surpassed them. Our day was more than perfect and we are forever thankful to everyone that made it so! We chose the Gala 417 as our wedding venue. This was the first and only venue we toured, as we fell in love with it during our tour and knew immediately it was the one for us. All of the Gala 417 staff were so professional, communicative, and helpful every step of the way! Because of this, I barely felt any stress during the wedding planning process. Any questions I had during the planning process were answered immediately. They have a variety of food and beverage packages to fit many budgets and it is so convenient that is done in house. They listened to everything we wanted in terms of decoration placement, wedding day timeline, etc and made it all happen.Everything just went so smoothly and perfectly during the planning process and wedding day. We can't thank them enough for making our wedding dreams come true! It was truly the most perfect day. We 100% recommend this venue and are soooo happy we chose them!

One of their staff picked up our 4 tier wedding cake to carry it to the kitchen to slice it. He actually picked it up off a rolling cart and hand carried a cake meant to feed 200 people, and dropped it on the floor beside the bar in view of guest. It broke the cake topper and cake stand, so they cannot be used again or saved. The bride didn't get her top tier to freeze. The owner just made excuses, refused to take accountability and make it right. The owner lied to the bride the day after, and told her the cake fell apart when they went to slice it. Again, the guest actually saw the cake dropped on the floor. Two of our family members have been married at this venue within the past year. It's NOT cheap, and cost a lot of money. I guess this venue is great unless something goes wrong, then you're on your own. Horrible experience in what was otherwise a beautiful wedding. Such a shame.------------------------------------------My reply to her reply:The Gala 417 If we're going to give context, let's give truthful context. The cake stand was not hollow. I made a wood support out of 2x6's that went under the stand to support the entire cake. You're staff did nothing. The day after the wedding, you told the bride "the cake collapsed when we cut it". Another untruth. "Our staff alerted Mrs Polyson about the incident immediately and she was very gracious-even declaring it was bound to happen". Another untruth. You first spoke to Mrs Polyson the day AFTER the wedding, and lied to her about what had happened. Now you admit the cake was dropped. Yes, everyone had cake. But each tier was a different flavor. The bride didn't get her flavor. The bride didn't get to freeze the top tier for her one year anniversary. The cake stand was damaged, as was the cake topper. You say you take responsibility, but blame it on everything else with untruths. This incident has been handled horribly on your part. We can agree on one thing...you shouldn't be handling cakes. Sounds like you really don't know what your staff is actually doing given your "context".
