I don't really like fudge but the lady at the fudge shop was nice and offered free samples.I went upstairs and ordered their ice cream. It was good and they give you a ton with one scoop in a cup. Definitely a solid ice cream shop and I would go there again. The 2 ladies working there were nice as well and let you try any ice cream you wanted before ordering.

Nice fudge place. You can see them making it. Price is per pound. Carry some candied treats and cookies as well.

No! Fudge is so yummy but this fudge was sadly not. It was super hard and taste old. It taste like they added something weird to it which took away from the flavor. Peanut butter didn't even taste like peanut butter. Super sad. We tried 4 flavors peanut butter, cookies and cream, Carmel chocolate and sugar free. All terrible. A WASTE of $40 dollars.

6/26/20"Follow your nose, it always knows." Well the sweet smell of sugar, chocolate, vanilla and brown sugar are an unbeatable, extremely tempting and unhealthy treat hips, butt, thighs and blood pressure will thank you for...no it won't...., but oh so good.Even with a mask on, the nose can still smell the smell of brown sugar. I love it. The smell draws you in and your other body senses kick in. I saw many things that look nice, my mind did not get tempted until I saw the traditional New Orleans pralines. Had to buy two of these bad boys. The combination of these with sparkling water or just plan water is delicious. One of the managers there wanted to sell me a more than two. I told him if he can eat as many of these things as possible, I would buy just as many. He didn't go for that. His diabetes would won't allow such a thing.Neither would mine. A few bites and I saved the rest for several other days. Just finished mine today. This place is very cool, but very tempting. I do like the signs of the owner of this business doing cover shots of different movies or books. We will most likely be back.Good times great food, even if it is bad for you.

The scent of chocolate was intoxicating at the Fudgery! I wanted to buy some fudge, but sadly they only sell fudge by the slice (pretty hefty portions). I would have liked to have purchased several flavors in smaller pieces. I wanted to try them all! It was a hot day outside so I couldn't justify buying big slices just to have them melt in the heat. Who can eat that big slab of fudge at one time? Some of you may be able to, but I just wanted a few bites... my sweet tooth left feeling salty.

Bottom Line: Great annual advertisements, good fudge and central location but a bit pricey. What The Fudgery does better than most businesses in OBX is advertising. Their front page add in the Sunny Day never disappoints. Not only is the add entertaining, but it's also enticing. Enticing enough that when I find myself at the Jockey's Ridge Crossing shopping center I feel compelled to poke my head in to see what kind of fudge they are finishing on the marble table tops. Watching fudge be cooled and formed into loafs is oddly intriguing and before you know it, you find yourself in line for a 1/2 lb. slice of fudge. This is another case where I think the adversing, this time being part of the fudge making process, really works. As for the taste of the fudge, it's good. Not the best I have had but definitely good enough for me to eat more. Unfortunately, you do have to be very committed to fudge here because the smallest piece they sell is 1/2 lb. which is a lot for me. At other places you can get much smaller pieces and it's easier to get a variety that way. The Fudgery is located at the Jockey's Ridge Crossing shopping center between the bypass and beach road at MP 12.5. The fudge store is located in the central part of the shopping center next to Kitty Hawk Kites.

It was buy 3 get 1 free. Flavor of the month was birthday cake - my favorite. When I say it was the best fudge I've ever had - it was the absolute best. If in the area you won't want to miss out on The Fudgery.

Not the widest selection, but of course everything is delicious. (It's fudge! Even the shittiest fudge in the world is still going to be tasty.)One cool thing -- you can see them actually preparing the fudge on the marble tables. And if you buy 2 pounds, you get 1 pound of vanilla for free. Or if you buy 3 pounds, you get a 4th pound of any flavor for free.

Super awesome place with awesome management! I was not expecting to make any purchases but the friendly staff and samples quickly changed my mind. We ended up walking out with 2lbs thanks to a nice man working. Hope COVID isn't hurting this friendly store and that they will be around OBX for a while!
