The ice cream is Ashby's and offers a lot of flavors not available elsewhere. I loved the Superman. There was a bit of a line, but I plan on making this a OVX tradition

Delicious ice cream and large portions. Great flavors and they were very creamy too. You can even watch them sometimes making the fudge as you sit. A nice spot for a hot day!

I grew up with memories of stopping at The Fudgery every year, which was the only time I bought fudge. For the money, I don't think I would buy it more often but they make a quality product in my opinion. The downsides of this location was the friendliness of the staff (it was close to closing and they certainly didn't seem happy I was there as the only customer) and the flies (seemed to be a problem everywhere this time.of year, but they were landing on some of the uncovered product).

This is just about the creamiest hard ice cream I've ever had. Between the group, mint chocolate chip, salty Jack, Eskimo kisses and nana's banana pudding were had and eat was incredible. If you go with two scoops you will be skipping your next meal.

$10.99 for a half pound of fudge which is the equivalent of one slice. The fudge is "okay". The milk chocolate vs dark chocolate isn't very different in flavoring. The texture is smooth but thick and a little firm. It's nothing fancy. I could have made some from scratch for the same quality. A chocolate covered rice treat was $7.99. The prices are a little steep for the quality.

Great ice cream rude service! We went to this the first time and the girl behind the counter was short and disrespectful. We went back for the amaretto cherry on our last day of vacation and walked in ten mins before 5 and waited for the family in front of us and then the same girl came by and said closed and starting shutting everything off. It's my first time in duck We always stay in waves.

This was the closest ice cream spot to our rental beach house, and several kids in our party had already worn a trail here over the week. We all finally made a visit on our last night in Duck, as sort of a final, sweet send-off.The interior is basically a large, open kitchen with a counter in front, so you can watch them make fudge. They also offer a few other goodies on the side, including Edy's ice cream. Unfortunately they only had about 6 flavors, and my beloved chocolate chip was not among them. I ordered a chocolate-vanilla swirl instead, and it was dense, very rich and tasty, though I've been spoiled by better (double rainbow, for instance). The server was nice and offered to let us try some fudge for free. I tried the dark chocolate with nuts - also quite delectable, but I'm not a big fudge fan and opted not to buy any. All that remained was a walk home amongst friends in the cool night air with the stars overhead. Sweet indeed.

My husband was looking forward to grabbing some fudge in our beach trip and we decided on The Fudgery inside the Kitty Hawk Kites strip. The entire case of fudge was filled with fruit flies, completely infested. My husband said something to the employee and he looked at us and shrugged and said "Yeah". That was it. We were disgusted and both the bug problem and the lack of customer service in a food environment. Also overpriced. Super disappointing, and we regret making the purchase.

Recently came off the beach to grab a quick, cold treat. We want to go to Island Smoothie but they closed early for Independence Day, so we ventured to The Fudgery and got a frozen lemonade, which my daughter advised was very good. One downside is, most of the liquid gets consumed and then you are stuck with ice, much like a slurpee.I got the Wild Raspberry Smoothie and although the container advised it was all natural, it certainly tasted artificial. I wouldnt order it again, but it was a nice cold treat. The price is always high here but it is a tourist trap. Island Smoothie is probably as costly but much fresher if you are interested in that more nutritious option.
