The Frog Sports Bar & Grill

Came here as a "plus one" to meet up with a group for a holiday gathering. Definitely a hole in the wall/dive bar vibe to it. The outside entrance is non de script in a strip mall. The inside is basic sports bar vibe, not a large interior so gives a cozy atmosphere. There is a large bar in the center with seating on 3 sides, a pool table and modern juke box in the back. Restroom was clean however none of the locks on the doors worked. Waitress was very attentive and brought drinks quickly. No orange slice available for the Blue Moon. Karaoke on the night we were there provided some entertainment.

Love this place! It's very cozy, clean, great food, nice clientele and attentive, warm staff. If you are looking for a low stim and relaxing bar, this is the place to visit!

"Jolly Frog" is a 1st visit for me & bartender "Cherrie" did not disappoint ... the customers appear to be regulars & interactive with each other ... a "Run-A-Way Bill" kinda bar & bartender ... heavy-as-s&@t bar stools ..."Frog" has a "Fire & Water" shot glass (like anhour glass shape), which I knew about, but never saw one in a bar previously ... off-street parking lot, but was really filled with lots of parked cars ..."Run-A-Way Bill" was here! #RunAwayBill 02.27.20

The Frog... what can I say about the Frog?! It's a local watering hole and it's a good time. I mean it's got good cold beer, Jäger on the tap and I'm made in the shade. Yeah I don't drink that much but the final evening I was there we had to take an Uber. Woops! First time for everything I guess. Yes believe it or not I've never taken an Uber. Thank god for Ubers!One of the bartenders Tay (she's so sweet!) is awesome. She's super friendly and attentive. I look forward to coming back down to VA just so I can drink my beer out of my Marizah coozie. Don't ask about the name Marizah... it's an inside joke.

Well everything I said below is true, BUT!! These shit heels kicked out 2 cagey old veterans I was shooting pool with because they supposedly had "gotten their buzz" that's ridiculous!! What kind of business do you run that you don't serve your patrons after they split a pitcher!?! These men literally served in Vietnam & can't enjoy a few games of pool!?! I'm thoroughly disappointed.This is what a dive bar is supposed to be! No frills, cheap food, cheap drinks, pool tables, darts, a jukebox & a men's room door that doesn't lock!! Ok, so I try to go to a place twice before reviewing it to give them the benefit of the doubt if the first visit was meh. Unless the service was spectacular or atrocious I'll write the review after the 2nd visit. Visit 1(yesterday): saw bad traffic on 264W & decided to grab a few drinks & a bite after visiting my chiropractor off Independence Blvd. Popped onto yelp to see what was nearby & this place showed up. They had me at sports! I saw the 75 cent tacos on the specials board along with a BLT, I opted for the latter. Shockingly it took nearly 25 minutes for a BLT with chips to make an appearance in front of me, but the ridiculously low prices on the import beer made up for the offense. Friendly nurse who seemed to only be there for a post work shot started conversing politics with me that soon transformed into a sports debate that she held her own in. All in all it was a decent first impression.ROUND 2!! Had a class around the corner with some co-workers & we came in for a few cheap beverages & a very inexpensive sample platter. If I lived closer it would be dangerous haha I'm writing this in the parking lot & leaning towards going back in for another beer!!This place has potential, food came out a lot quicker today, ok, I'll go back in for just 1 more...

This is the type of bar I love. Most people are friends at the bar, and they are fun. Cute bartender and good food. .55 cent shrimp, 3 dollar Stella. Smack talking, beer drinking , Good people. They have a good space, big bar but 6 booths and 7 tables. I like it.

Sucks. Debbie the bartender has clearly never traveled, doesn't know how to read foreign forms of ID. It's an old timer bar, we were out of place anyway, you will be too if you're wearing anything besides a track suit or bad jeans, forget about heels on a woman or a polo shirt on men. Bar itself wasn't bad, it was well lit, smoke free and had pool tables. I would go back if the staff didn't live in the 50's. Never again.

Love the bartender Pat, food was ok/not great. If you want a drink and a good person to talk to, then go here.

I've been going to this place for the last 8 years, and always had a good experience for the most part. Since last year, the AC has been broken along with the heater, and the owner Chuck is such a cheap skate that he can't fix either. Would come here on Tuesdays and Thursdays, and the quality of the food as well as the portion sizes have gone down significantly. The bartenders and managers are always great to deal with and that's why I gave it one star.

Ordered food delivered. I could not believe my eyes when I opened the boxes. Burger buns were black! Burgers were burnt as well. I kept on looking for the Spinach Dip appetizer that I ordered, couldn't find it. I couldn't locate it because the amount they give you looks more like a salad dressing size. Nearly non-existent!
