The Farmasea Restaurant

This place is really nice. We went there to support a friend in a band and were very pleased with the cocktail and drinks, menu offerings, friendly wait staff and the food was delicious. We started with the fried oysters. They were over this homemade ranch sauce and were really good. For dinner my husband had the beef Wellington. It was over top of some mashed potatoes and carrots. He said the meat in his beef Wellington had a wonderful char flavor. He enjoyed the carrots, mashed potatoes and sauce that came with the dish. I had a nice piece of salmon that was both spiced well and had these really nice char marks on it. It was over a top of hopping John's, stewed collards and rice. The spice flavored the other parts of the dish if ate together. Our waitress was extremely nice and attentive. Very good experience overall.

We ate here last summer when we were in Deltaville; it was SO yummy we made a point of returning this year. We were not disappointed! Upon arrival, the Hostess apologized for being short-staffed, which, really is a common restaurant refrain so no biggie. The food was sublime, yumminess in wonderfully layered flavors. I really had high hopes for Farmasea. The food photos look amazing! Very appealing. But, like I said when it came to choosing my wedding cake... I want it to not only look great, but taste great! It is located next to a feed store and a health complex. Odd placement, but do not just a book by its cover. When you walk inside the decor is eye catching. I loved the booth seating. It definitely has a great vide decor wise. There is not much separating the host stand and the dining room. The breakfast/brunch menu is limited. It is not too extensive. The pricing is really high for the offerings. I did order the farmasea breakfast plate. It was eggs of my choice, grits, tater tots, a meat and a biscuit. My biscuit was missing but I was given toast. The toast had a weird charred taste to it. Like it was set in the grill versus toasted in a toaster. I did ask for some jam. The plate was $18. Maybe $12-$13 would have been a better price. I did take a look at the bar menu and I was not willing to pay $15-$20 for a mixed drink if my meal was the same. So I opted out for it. My friend I was with ordered the huevos Rancheros. She was not happy with her meal in the end. The steak had that weird charred toast as well. Her meal was $23. That was a little high as well. Maybe $16 would have been a better fit. I'm not sure that cut of steak it was so who knows. This is based off of the brunch in a Sunday. Maybe dinner is better. Not sure I will return for the dinner though.

Really great food and atmosphere. The front dining is a bit more classy and the back dining area and patio are more laid back. The Rx cocktail was tasty and refreshing. Our food was great too. The fried oysters were amazing with the greens they came with and the homemade ranch sauce was perfect. I ordered the smash burger and it was amazing. The "comeback" sauce they put on it is delicious and the burger was so juicy and flavorful. The truffle fries are a must have too. The lobster escargot is almost like a lobster slider? It was flaky and buttery and really good. Our server was kind and helpful too. We had seen reviews of some other plates that we wanted to try but we found out that they change the menu frequently! Definitely worth going there, the food will not disappoint.

Do not drive-by and underestimate this awesome restaurant. Outstanding friendly and engaged staff. Food is locally sourced and outstanding. Large portions. A true and awesome chef! Well crafted drinks. Ignore the complaints about the prices. Well worth the money. Also do not overlook the cute bar in the back and libe piano player. Classy not cheesy. Please support Farmasea they are worth it!

Did a mini hohr road trip up to this restaraunt. I found this spot on Yelp - read the comments and thought I'd give it a try. When I had pulled up to the restaraunt it was a sign on the dooe that said reservations only. I was pretty bummer because my friend and I did not set up a reservation and we had drove an hour out the way to try this spot. The server had opened the door and we told her about our situation and she kindly made room for us and made sure that we could eat there. I was so happyyy. And lets just say it was totally worth it!! The restaraunt had nice decor and comfy seats our table was even labeled with our name (all reservations that put your name on the table) it was really cute! A lady was playing soft beautiful music on the piano - the lighting was everything it was such a beautiful place! Perfect for family gatherings and especially a dateThe server was super friendly and attentive to us. She made sure our visit was worth the trip. I ordered a filet mignon, asparagus, and seafood (scallops, shrimp, lobster) stuff baked potota. It was reallyyyyy good! I woukd definitely come back here. Awesome service and delicious food with nice sizd portions for good prices! In total my friend and I bill came up to $120 altogether! We ordered two appetizers, she had steak and shrimp and vegetables, my order written above and a bottle of wine. Pretty good price for all that food! Loved itt

Food so, so, taken to a table that had not been cleaned. Food particles on floor, had to wait for the waiter to clean it up.

Service was good. Food did not live up to the hype. You'll get more bang for your buck at Mobjack Tavern.

LOVED this place! We had brunch here. The food is delicious the atmosphere is really cool. We loved how it was decorated and the bar and outdoor area were a huge bonus! The service was exceptional and we loved everyone who worked there. DEFINITELY recommend this place! We will be back!

We drive 45 minutes to go here, because the food is absolutely incredible.Sunday Brunch! I don't know how to describe the stuffed flounder, but didn't leave a morsel. It's one of the few places that make oysters rock, that I would partake. Comfortable place, nice people, top shelf food, with excellent prices.
