The Cove

Great food and very friendly service and owner. We stopped by on a Tuesday for lunch (my bad, I misread the open days) and they were kind enough to serve us in a separate room from a private party that they were hosting. If you are in Courtland I would recommend it!

Decent course. Decent layout. A little bit of hills being pretty far outside of Hampton Roads. Would I call this a country club? Far from it. Many of the things you find with a country club are missing --- a fancy, or at least fairly nice clubhouse and a pro shop that had some booshie to it. I'll assume that this is due to being out in the country. I imagine there isn't a lot of foot traffic so there's no need for such nice amenities although I've seen nicer in similar communities.The greens were aerated so there was some bumpiness as expected. These greens were small so precision on this course with approach shots are a must.Unless I'm invited for a tournament, I'm quite certain I would be going back. Mostly because it's quite far for me.

With the new Chef the dining experience has really improved. He does an excellent job with fish and various meat products. The restaurant is open to the public, except for those times that it is closed for a special event.

These are very caring employees and care for your pets and you. They understand when you have a very difficult decision to make they are kind and patient. Although I was in tears when I left, I knew I left my baby in good hands.

Impeccable Service and Great Food! Special thank you to the manager Keith and his staff for making my parents 50th wedding anniversary celebration memorable. Keith's attention to detail from the decorating to the serving of the cake were nothing but first rate. He even made a special request drink -Lemon Drop! I highly recommend, the atmosphere, service, and food make this a hidden gem in Franklin.
