The Comfy Belly

Good service. Cold beers. Simple menu but got the job done on a holiday weekend. Plenty of seating space inside and outside.

We stopped in for an early lunch on a Sunday. Seems like a great hangout to watch sports. The fried mac and cheese was a fun starter and we split a BLT and Philly sandwhich with fries. Both were pretty good although the Philly was a touch on the salty side. I can see why this is a popular hangout for local and sports crowds. Signs around the place look like they have live music, and leagues for billiards and darts. While the signs outside say breakfast. It seemed like they only had lunch and dinner now. The waitstaff were friendly and took good care of us.

Stopped at the Comfy Belly for a late lunch, a friend had recommended it to me as a good dive bar. You can tell immediately that the comfy belly is a locals favorite, they offer daily happy hour specials and pitches of mixed drinks! I visited during lunchtime and the service was great. I ordered a chicken Philly with fries and washed it down with a local IPA. The food was good and priced reasonably. The bar area is well kept and they offer virtual dart boards and pool. This neighborhood bar definitely sparks my interest for joining on their karaoke night with friends in the future!

We stopped by The Comfy Belly for breakfast as a backup. Actually, it was a backup to the backup. However, we realized that we should have gone to the Comfort Belly for our original plans. I will say that the bar/pub/restaurant is very no frills, but the food (at least for breakfast) was pretty decent. Our waitress/bartender was pretty nice and friendly. The only small annoyance was the restaurant did not have quite a few food items during our visit. After handing us the menus, the waitress was like we do not have A, B, C, D, E. Jokingly, I was like maybe it would be easier to tell us what you do have. ;) While folks might be more interested in some of the more fancy dining spots in the area (especially near the beach), The Comfy Belly is a pretty good backup if those places are full or if you cannot find parking.

Really good attentive just down to earth staff here. Thanks for making us feel welcome even though we are not regulars. Great visit! Good food!

The Comfy Belly is a friendly, fun "dive" bar with good basic food. We had a great time here. Despite being totally unpretentious, they had a good selection of local/regional craft beers on tap (actually their only draft beer options). They also had several bottle options for those who prefer Bud Light and the like. The menu was simple, wings, burgers, pizza, and the like. We ordered some wings, and they were really excellent. We made some friends, had some fun conversations, and had an overall great time. This is a very comfortable bar and a fun night out for the "empty nest" set. We will definitely be back!

I stopped in on a Saturday afternoon (5/4/19), mainly because I felt like trying someplace I haven't been before. I was originally going to dine at Misako, but I saw The Comfy Belly along the way and figured, "Why not?" Comfy Belly isn't terribly big, but they have patio seating, which is always welcome. I decided to sit at the bar, where most of their current patrons were sitting. The bartender was nice, although not overly friendly and she was great with the refills (I sat at the bar but I only ordered sweet tea). I didn't ask many questions about the menu - everything seemed self-explanatory, but the bartender didn't seem like she would offer much explanation. Outside of my sweet tea, I ordered two items - the Big Belly: a sandwich with grilled mushrooms, caramelized onions, smashed potatoes smothered in brown gravy; and tuna bites: chucks of tuna seasoned and seared to perfection and served with a ginger lime dipping sauce.I liked the tuna bites - they were cooked just right and the seasoning went well with the fish. The dipping sauce was pretty good, too, so this is a dish I would order again.The Big Belly is a heavy dish, albeit a tasty one. I felt kinda sluggish afterwards, so it seemingly will give you the itis. Honestly, it doesn't look good when you see it up close, but it makes up for looks with taste and heartiness.I have to comment, though, on the mood. Comfy Belly feels like a place that doesn't "wake up" until the evening. With it being mostly empty the vibe was tired and distant yet still friendly. I would probably stop in again, but only with a friends in tow. Otherwise, this is a decent spot with decent food. JV

We went in at 3:00 on a Friday afternoon, needed a late lunch. GF had a craving for French Fries and I did a little research on Yelp. This place showed promise. It would have gotten 4 stars except for the noise. There were about a half dozen regulars at the bar and they weee talking over the music that was kinda loud. And another group outside Note here that the music was very much our style - classic rock. The waiter/bartender was the only one working - he was quite personable, knowledgeable and friendly - but busy. I had the Italian sub heated and GF had the BLT. We were both very pleased with the food despite the wait. The fries came with housemade ranch that was fantastic. The Italian had ample meat and cheese but not overflowing. The BLT had fresh tomatoes and several slices of bacon. There are pool tables and electronic dart boards. I imagine the place is hopping at night. They advertise themselves as a locals locale. The toilets were clean and neat. Prices were very reasonable. Would go back for lunch

Best food! Best service! Howey throws down in the kitchen and Nicole makes the best drinks and is the keeper of all the best jokes. You want a good, GOOD time? Try this place. Lived at the oceanfront for years on years and never, ever had this much fun. , best place at the beach. Free pool after 7-12 on Tuesdays! Yall gotta check this out!

Terrible service, food is bland and unseasoned and the bartenders are the rudest, bitterest old ladies you'll ever meet. Beer lines never get cleaned out and beers taste terrible. Proceed with caution.
