Girls just wanna have fun
10th hole
Beautiful 18th hole
A fairway visitor
#7 will remind you of #17 at Saw Grass. #9 is the Signature Hole, risk/reward onto the land bridge or over the water

I stop here on the way to OBX to play a round be for checking into to our beach house. I really enjoyed their sister course the Pointe. This one is shorter and flatter but just has fun and challenging. They get you checked in and ready with your cart. They have 2 putting greens & a driving range. They have a few challenging water holes. The wind can add another element of difficulty. Beautifully maintained course. Nice 19th hole bar. I would definitely play here again.

Bill and Billy are all you need at this course! The greens are well maintained and the Marshall's are respectful and attentive. Really bill and Billy are gems and I can't wait to come back and see them!! 12/10 service and fun :)

Last Labor day, 9/4/20, I played the sister course at Powells Point and had a great experience.I played that same course on Wednesday afternoon and this course early on Thursday.I got paired up with Marty and George. Two guys about my age who were visiting from Upstate New York. They were joined by their two sons and a daughter-in-law.We teed off at 7:30a with an overcast sky and temps in the low 70's just perfect golf weather if you ask me.There was no one behind us and no one in front so we were right on stride with similar games.I like the 5 different tee box options. The tee boxes are wide, grassy, well maintained and well marked. The fairways were wide with not a lot of trouble if you did happen to go wide.Even the 'out of bounds' was friendly. There is a fair amount of water but it does not really come into play except on four holes. Hole #7, at 143 yards over water will remind you of #17 at Sawgrass and the Island green.Hole #9, is a 450 yard par 5 & the Signature Hole. This offers the 'risk reward' option where you have a decision to drive it about 250 yards to a land bridge. You will then have about 150 to 200 yards over the water to the green. If you are fortunate, the pin will be in the front. If not you will find it's a very big green with lots of elevation changes. The staff is great and very friendly and welcoming. The green fee might be a bit on the high side but it's worth it for a great OBX golf experience.

Not worth the $75 for a Tuesday morning. Cart barn kid came up and asked if he could take my clubs out of my car. I said that I would get them mostly because I didn't have any cash on me to tip him. He proceeded by rolling his eyes and walking away. Real professional. Course had dead spots and weeds all over the place and both tees and fairways did not look like they had been cut in a long time. The pointe golf club is a much better option right down the road. Most likely will not return.

One of the best kept courses in Tidewater. Even when I played this course in January in the freezing ass cold this course was in great shape. Six months later with warm weather and green grass all over anyone can enjoy this course. It's a great layout that is challenging yet not terribly hard. The greens roll absolutely perfect. Not one time during our tournament round did anyone complain about a bump in the green.Hole #9 is my favorite as your approach shot has to travel over water. It makes for a nice view. Since it is in NC you can expect the wind to really blow on this course.I forgot my golf shoes back in VA and was able to pick up a pair in the clubhouse without any hassle. For a golf course they had a decent shoe selection. They do have a restaurant on the golf course called Tucker's. It's a bar with several seats to fit foursomes who want a food and a beer after a fun round. It looks like my golf tour will return to this course next year. I shot 74 and won my flight!

The Starter/Ranger was condescending and rude. First, I have NEVER heard of a rule that every golfer must have a bag to themselves? Especially in an area where folks vacation from far away (we did rent 2 bags already which were POS clubs). Not only is such rule absent from the "policies" section of their website; sharing clubs between partners is expressly allowed under Rule 4-4b: 4-4. Maximum of 14 Clubs a. Selection and Addition of Clubs. The player must not start a stipulated round with more than 14 clubs. He is limited to the clubs thus selected for that round, except that if he started with fewer than 14 clubs, he may add any number, provided his total number does not exceed 14. The addition of a club or clubs must not unduly delay play (Rule 6-7) and the player must not add or borrow any club selected for play by any other person playing on the course. b. Partners May Share Clubs. Partners may share clubs, provided that the total number of clubs carried by the Partners so sharing does not exceed 14. Penalty For Breach Of Rule 4-4a or b, Regardless Of Number Of Excess Clubs Carried: Match play - At the conclusion of the hole at which the breach is discovered, the state of the match is adjusted by deducting one hole for each hole at which a breach occurred; maximum deduction per round: Two holes. Stroke play - Two strokes for each hole at which any breach occurred; maximum penalty per round: Four strokes. Bogey and par competitions - See Note 1 to Rule 32-1a. Stableford competitions - See Note 1 to Rule 32-1b.Second, when we turned to the back 9, on hole 10, he was in on us about "getting on the T box". If he wasn't trying to micromanage us while on a power trip, he would have realized we already T'd off and we're waiting for the crew behind us to tell them what our scores were on the first 9. We were playing fast and had no one behind us. He did that to just be a prick. Southern hospitality must not hold true at the Carolina Club.

Great course. Very hospitable and open to players of all calibers. Our cart died on the 3rd hole and we needed a replacement sent out which delayed pace of play. But besides that me and my family had a great experience.
