Blue Crab Restaurant

The food was amazing! The fried oysters are probably the best I've had. The she crab soup was really good. I would recommend going with a cup. The bowl was huge! I had the endless shrimp. The 1st serving I was like oh no overcooked. But after that they were spot on and easy to peel. They came with cocktail sauce and clarified butter. I'm not a fan of that style of butter but it was still good. My date had the crab cakes. Those were really good too. The only waitress/hostess did an amazing job by herself!! I'll definitely go back on a Sunday for all you can eat crab legs. This place is a must stop and worth taking a detour to get there.

A friend of mine and I drove to my hometown area for patio furniture shopping in Saluda and we stopped here for lunch. Even though I'm from WP, I've never been to The Blue Crab. The decor was really cute. Very nautical (of course). I'm bummed we didn't go on Sunday!! AYCE crab legs?! Yum! But the food we ordered was very delicious. We started with the crab dip (kinda pictured in a corner shot) and then we both had the crab cake sandwich for our meal. The crab cake was hefty! All crab meat. I barely saw any filler. I miss the taste of blue crabs! Service was decent. We waited for a little bit to be seated.. it seemed like there was one server for the 14-18 people (6-7 tables).

The service was impeccable, Thank You Alyssa your knowledge of the menu and diligent efforts to keep us beyond happy, Kudos to you. We started with the Buffalo shrimp and they were top notch, the sauce was perfect along with the blue cheese. My wife had the crab balls and green beans. She felt a little too much breading, but said they tasted amazing and the green beans had tumeric on them, the wife liked it.I had the crab cake sandwich and fries, absolutely amazeballs!

2nd review from me but this dinner tonight was AMAZING. We went on a Wednesday which is pasta night. The special was a shrimp scampi type pasta. I asked to have mine made with grilled chicken which was not a problem at all. It was so so good. And don't forget about dessert, they are all delish!

What a lucky stop we made for lunch on our way home from the rivah! We decided to see if there was something other than fast food in West Point to stop for a bite to eat and we found the Blue Crab. Cute place serving a very nice brunch!This place was hopping (around Sunday noon), but we were warmly greeted and seated promptly. It did not take long for DH and me to decide what we wanted to eat. I had the oysters benedict and DH had the oyster po' boy and we decided to share an order of fried pickles. Pickles came out pretty quickly and were freshly made. They had a nice crunch and we enjoyed them as a warm up the main event.DH's po' boy sandwich was beautiful and came with a side of house made chips. He loved it. My oysters benedict was delicious. Each muffin had a very large oyster, hand breaded and fried to perfection. It was a nice contrast to the creamy hollandaise. DH and I were very pleased that their oysters were obviously not Sysco out of a bag. Service was friendly and helpful. We look forward to coming back.

If you are near West Point VA don't miss this spot. Very good crab soup! Downtown location with on street parking.

Food was made fresh, but limited choices. This was the perfect halfway mark to meet my family for a quick birthday bite. Service was outstanding. Ambiance is cute and quaint. Only one restroom for the entire restaurant, please be mindful of that for sure!

Simply amazing. Food delicious. Service second to none. Nice quaint atmosphere, clean, little older building but didn't look too bad. Ask for Taylor, she was spectacular.

Excellent service and food was great! Especially enjoyed the She Crab Soup and Brussels sprouts!

Terrific food and just such a wonderful small town vibe. Service is fast and friendly. Very clean and very cute. This is where I bring anyone that comes into town for a visit. It's just the best of West Point!
