The Big Scoop

A nice little ice cream shop with friendly staff who were super patient with us since it took us an eternity to decide. We were able to sample different kinds of ice cream in the process of figuring out what we wanted. They have a great selection of ice cream and sorbet flavors!Like their name suggests, they do not shy away from big scoops! The scoops we have in the attached pictured was for the medium size (2 scoops of different flavored ice cream) and it was more than enough for us! We highly recommend this place for the generous portions. The ice cream itself is also very good (I had blueberry cheesecake and banana pudding, yum).Beyond your usual ice cream scoops, they also do shakes, sundaes, banana splits, and more. And they also have a claw machine for all the claw machine enthusiasts out there!

Great ice cream place with hard ice cream, shakes, soft serve, and a blizzard like treat! Sundaes as well! I tried their Oreo milkshake and it was delicious! My dining companion got two scoops of their ice cream and I can see why they call it the big scoop! They are BIG scoops! The woman who handled our ice cream needs was super nice and helpful since it was our first time there. Inside they have some arcade games and about 8 tables which is great on a hot summer day to be able to eat your ice cream treat inside . They also offer a military discount which is very nice! Will be back to try other cool ice cream treats!

Yummy ice cream and friendly staff.I met a friend for lunch nearby and as it was a sunny day, I figured I'd treat myself to some ice cream for dessert. I opted for a small cup of banana pudding ice cream and really enjoyed it. It was a pretty large size serving for a small cup, I almost had trouble finishing it, but I am not a quitter! It's a really cute place that plays 80's music so I felt right at home, even though I was one of the few people without children. I would definitely come back to try some more of their unique flavors.

Visited The Big Scoop for the first time today. Was not disappointed. We ordered medium sized Twisters and a sundae. Large portion and plenty of cookie dough pieces in both the twister and sundae! The service was friendly, a little bit of a wait but nothing too bad. The ambiance I'd say is a bit loud, between the music playing , people talking and the shake machine going it was hard to hear what questions were being asked about the order and hard to keep a conversation at the table. Tasted great ! If it was a bit warmer would have sat outside !

We always come to Williamsburg for the prime outlets mall, and this time we were here on a pretty day and decided to get ice cream before heading home. The Big Scoop is literally a 2 min drive from the outlets and doesn't look like much from the outside, but the interior is fun and colorful, especially for kids, and the staff is super friendly.They have frozen yogurt, dairy-free sorbet, and all kinds of unique ice cream flavors, many I'd never seen before. I loved the Graham Cracker ice cream (forgot the name, but tasted like pure crushed graham crackers) and the Sea Turtle. Both were really creamy, the Sea Turtle had tiny caramel-filled chocolate turtles which was cute and fun. Scoops were HUGE! My dad got the medium which was muchhh bigger than expected (it says 2 scoops but they really load it up) and I got the kids' which was a perfect size. Also, you can get 2 flavors in any of the sizes! Great experience and would highly recommend.

We stopped here for a quick dessert during our vacation in Williamsburg and am I glad we did! I'm a bit of an ice cream snob, but this place lived up to my high standards. Not only did they have tons of ice cream options, but also frozen ice and dole whip! My personal favorite was the strawberry cheesecake ice cream. It had the texture of an airy cheesecake with swirls of strawberries throughout. YUM.It was quite busy when we stopped in around 8-9pm on a weekday, so plan accordingly! Staff is quick though; we only waited in line around 5-10 minutes.

A nice planned trip to visit this cool spot! Air conditioning on 90 ° days is necessary. Between 3 of us we sampled 3 different menu items. Ice cream, twister and nachos. Everything was enjoyed by all. Plenty of flavors and combinations to enjoy your icecream. Milkshakes, cones, lots of toppings and extras!!! Of course there's chocolate, strawberry and vanilla but, why? Restaurant was clean. Customer service was excellent. The staff was patient, offered suggestions and samples. Indoor seating and a bench outside. Parking shared by other stores in the plaza. P.S. You can't go wrong listening to 80s music while you indulge!

Good selection of hand dipped and soft serve ice creams. Good service, indoor and outdoor seating. I was impressed to see the young workers cleaning when they weren't helping customers.

You need to beg these people to give you less ice cream! They are not kidding with their name. We all went after going to Water Country and I ordered a kiddie cone and got the equivalent of 2 huge scoops at a standard place. I didn't care because it was really good ice cream. I tried the lil blue panda which was two kinds of cookie ice cream. My kid got the play dough which I think was vanilla with multi colored cookie dough. Everyone in our group loved the ice cream. Prices were very reasonable too especially for how much they give you.
