The gem of High Street! We LOVE this place! The atmosphere is great, the food is consistently delicious and the service is always amazing, even when they are at max capacity. Amber is our absolute favorite, she makes us feel right at home and we always get VIP service. The beer menu is HUGE and fantastic. This is a 5/5, must try, HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

Recently, one of my co-workers took a job in Georgia. To celebrate his last day, we went here for lunch. I used to pass by this place on the way home from work in the past, but never had a moment to try them out until now. Would this first time go off without a hitch?All of us got seated in separate tables. It is a small place with tables and some pool tables. They also have an outside patio. It is outdated, but a very good neighborhood spot. We all submitted orders days before since our party was just under 20 people. I ordered the Reuben sandwich with bier battered fries. It was very good and delicious. It had enough protein along with fries to keep yours truly full for the rest of the afternoon. Everyone else liked their selection and the waitresses tended to each one of us. Great service indeed.A nice first-time for myself. A welcoming neighborhood place where locals can enjoy. I can definitely see Sophia ordering from here when I bring her for the next visit. Till next time :)

Came here on a whim... I'm normally not a sandwich girl when I go out to eat, but this was everything and then some! The ambience outside is very relaxing, I love the garden feel. Please don't think you are going to come here and get a Coors light or Heineken. Lol all of the beer here is imported and there's quite an extensive list. Parking is parallel, so be prepared to walk if there's nothing in front.

Unfortunately this my first time going to a German restaurant, maybe my last. A friend and me were in the area for the farmers market and decided to give this place a try. At first I thought I would try brunch, but I'm a French toast, waffle or pancake girl and that was available on the brunch menu. So shift gears I did try some of the traditional items on the menu. The restaurant did not appear ( I say appear lightly) because we weee seated outside, so who knows how busy inside was. But outside it wasn't busy. But the wait time for the simplest items was ridiculously long. My friend ordered a pretzel which she thought would be warm, but that was not the case. I ordered a side of spatzle and asked for gravy on the side well they put the gravy on the noodles we waited over 45 minutes and the spatzle was cold. I also ordered a side or potatoes they had a German name for them basically seasoned sliced potatoes fried. But they were cold and flavorless. Our waiter gave as a nice warning that we might want to order our food if we we're ordering main dishes right away because the kitchen is running about 45 minutes a ticket. We listened typically we wait till after we ate most of our appetizers. Moving on to our main meals I ordered a Caesar salad with chicken, with mustard vinaigrette on the side, because I was not impressed with the appetizers. The chicken looked good but was again cold so I asked the server if the chicken was fresh cooked and I was informed it was. Let's talk about the romaine lettuce as I'm looking at my salad and cutting it up I notice lots of dirt on my lettuce. I informed our server that the lettuce hasn't been washed. Too me that is UNACCEPTABLE! The waiter snatched the bowl so fast I wasn't even able to snap a photo. Not to mention there wasn't any croutons on my salad. My friend ordered a Reuben sandwich with a Caesar salad in the side. She didn't eat her salad after the situation with my salad. She did say that the Reuben was very good. Debating on whether or not to try a dessert I decided to try I was tossed between the hazelnut torte and the chocolate praline crunch which both sounded good. I asked our server what they recommend he informed me that the hazelnut torte is gluten feee, and SUGAR-FREE which is a hard pass for me, I like all my sugar lol. So the chocolate cake with praline crunch it is. I had high expectations for this which failed miserably. I did not see or taste praline crunch at all the chocolate cake was very, I mean very dry. There was lots of whip cream even in the center, which had I known I would of passed. I'm not a fan of whip cream and it didn't say that in the description that there's whip cream in the center of the cake. Just to note Gordon Ramsay would rip this place apart just on the serve ware alone. When plates, bowls, and cups have any chips they need to be removed from the service line. Of course we had bowls, and plates with chips. The other thing that's a pet peeve PRESENTATION all dishes should look presentable I should not see grease or dipping of anything on white bowls and plates, you should look at them before serving them if you spill on the sides you should wipe it up. A little care goes a long way. I will say our server was very nice and super friendly. He did remove most of my items from my bill due to the issues except the potatoes. Side note he offered to give me the dessert due to all the issues and wait time for our food, so I did not inform him about the issues with the cake. As you can tell by the review I will not solicit this establishment again and I wouldn't recommend.

Wow! We stumbled upon this place last night...which happened to be a tapping of the seasonal beer, Samichlaus! We were lucky to snag the last spot available-table for two. It was cozy and truly had an old world feel. The staff was attentive but not annoying, which is a fine line. The food was amazing-schnitzel and pork knee with yummy sides and dessert. They have happy hour with plenty of selection. Best beer garden in the area. Enjoy!

I've been going here for a very, very long time. I've seen quite a few servers, beers, and changes come and go. This might be my first 'less than 5' rating. Lately, I can't put my finger on it, but things have been on the slow downslope. The beers are still a staple, but the changes with the beer market haven't been in the same swing. You can tell that between the menu and the beers, there hasn't been much investment in updating their offerings.I'm ok with this, mainly because now I know what to usually expect when I arrive. The only downside is that the the quality of things we used to get has been diminishing. It's not "oh this place is horrible" bad... just noticeably 'different'. I use to live in Germany and the wife and I heard this was a good place for authentic German. We ordered from the lunch menu and its was really good. They have some German American fusion dishes. The wait staff were friendly and the service was fast.
