The Bank: Inspired By Lucy & Linda

We stopped here on our way back home because we wanted some comfort food, and this place wasn't that far off the interstate. The food was meh, and even though I liked the appeal of the charming, small town, eating in a converted bank to restaurant concept, the atmosphere was very cold, as was every other aspect of our dining experience. I had really anticipated a different outcome, but sadly it was lost here.

Cool historical bank turned into a cute eatery. I got the wing dings meal, honey and old bay for the win!! Super nice service.Thank you.

One of the best fish sandwiches I have eaten. Beautifully fried fish filets and very well seasoned. Onion rings were on point. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Driving back to DC from Myrtle Beach.

We are always looking for good places to stop along 95 on our way to Florida. So glad we stopped here! Very friendly greeting and Tamika (hope I am spelling correctly) was A plus as far as friendliness and service. We both opted for the HOB (honey/old bay) fish platter which came with two sides. Hubs got the mixed greens and onion rings and I got the mixed greens and salad. Greens were so good and my salad was fresh and larger than a normal side. Both platters came with cornbread as well. The fish was so tasty and you couldn't beat the price for the amount of food offered. Hoping to hit it on our way back to NJ. Highly recommend .

The hostess was rude as hell when I first walked in, she just stared with an angry look on her face. According to the sign outside they were open, I asked if they were open, and the old lady was too busy to reply, just gave me dirty looks. A waitress came and sat me down, she was incredibly nice, she made a good recommendation. I had a chicken Caesar pasta. The food came fast, it was good, and all staff other than the hostess were great. The bartender had my drink up fast, waitress was quick with service and very pleasant.

Great local spot. Friendly and welcoming staff. Homemade food. Also, cool seeing the vault behind the bar :-).

Food was delicious ! Our waitress was very helpful and tried helped us navigate the menu. Cute spot to stop when you're in town.

Good food...good service...love that the repurposed bank serves as a restaurant...jump off the highway and enjoy lunch/dinner/libations. My companion enjoyed a full bowl of pasta and meat sauce with a nice cold beer. I enjoyed fried chicken with greens (delicious) and Mac and cheese with a sweet tea (perfect). Look forward to returning to try other menu items.

Stopping for the night on a road trip. Really wasn't in the mood for fast food and I happen to come across this when looking what was around town. So happy we went! Had the Wings Dings (Old Bay Honey) with the onion rings... I have to say, they were absolutely amazing! Also had the fried fish, yams and green beans with some cornbread, and the special tartar sauce... so delicious! The place was so neat to see it in all its glory and kept up remarkably for a building from 1902. The beautiful wood around the windows and on the ceiling. The vault behind the bar that we got to get a picture in front of. What a great end to a long day of driving. Service was on point and very friendly!

What a gem! We avoid fast food and found this place on a recent road trip. The food was fresh and tasty, service friendly and the restaurant was spotless. My husband claimed it was the best club sandwich he ever had. We'll definitely be back!
