Terrie's Breakfast & Lunch

On a Thursday morning, I used Grub Hub to order some breakfast from Terrie's. I've never heard of them. I just needed something close to where my daughter lives so this was our choice. We ordered a basic breakfast combo with eggs scrambled, corned beef hash, homefries and wheat toast. We also ordered a 1/2 French toast, side order of corned beef hash, and a 1/2 order biscuits and gravy. I made a note to please cook both corned beef hash well along with the toast. Neither was cooked well. Neither was the toast. The biscuits and gravy were good. It had chunks of sausage in it. The French toast was nicely decorated with cinnamon and ordered sugar, however it would have been better if I had butter and syrup with it. It was not in the bag. Other than that it was adequate.

This small, local restaurant has a charming mom-and-pop vibe and offers a nice spot for a quick breakfast. However, my experience was mixed. Upon entering, there was no clear greeting or indication of whether to wait to be seated or pick a table, which was a bit confusing since the restaurant was empty at the time.Once I was seated, the waitress handed me a menu and took my drink order, but her demeanor lacked warmth. It felt more like a transactional encounter than a welcoming experience.On the positive side, the restaurant was clean, and it was clear that locals frequent this spot, as they seemed to know exactly what they wanted. My food arrived hot and was delicious, particularly the omelet, which was perfectly cooked and flavorful. Unfortunately, the coffee was just average, not particularly memorable.What stood out most, though, was the lack of attentiveness. After bringing my food, the waitress didn't check in again until she dropped off the check, which felt like a subtle nudge to leave. While the food was decent, the service left much to be desired.Overall, it's a decent spot for a quick meal, but the service needs improvement to match the potential of this local gem. I might return if I'm in the area and need something fast, but I'd also consider other options if the service experience doesn't improve.

We stopped by Terrie's for a easy breezy late breakfast, and I thought everything was great.The restaurant has a very Mom n Pop vibe especially with the paper placemats displaying ads from local businesses. Both of our waitress were extremely nice and chatty. For my dining pleasure, I went with the meatlovers omelette, which was served with potatoes and a biscuit. My meal was pretty tasty, and the omelette was loaded with a lot of ham, sausage, and bacon. So, it definitely kept me full for most of the day. The prices are pretty reasonable for the area, I think my breakfast was less than 15 bucks. I'm giving them 4 stars because they didn't use the cheese that I requested for the omelette but it was not a huge deal. I would have brought it up to the waitress, but I was starving and did not want to wait for the kitchen to prepare another omelette. Overall, I highly recommend Terrie's for your breakfast needs. Since I found out about Terrie's from a nearby car dealership. I'll definitely return while getting my car serviced during breakfast and lunch hours.

This place is a solid 3.75. Good service, pretty good food, nice diversity for breakfast. I ordered the breakfast burrito, solid choice. The home fries really made the meal. I'd come back just for the home fries.Also ordered the pineapple mimosa. This was the reason the place didn't get a 4 star. Mimosa was just pineapple juice. Place did have great coffee.

The parking out front is tight but there's more in the back. Staff is friendly af. Down home mom & pop spot for real. Loved the vibe. Food was tasty like and old school diner vibe. I got everything for under $15. Great place and budget friendly in this day and age.

When you're hungry for some good old fashion breakfast make sure to stop by Terrie's Breakfast & Lunch. It is located off Military Hwy near the dealerships, but don't drive too fast because this is a hole-in-the-wall establishment. This restaurant is a family owned restaurant. There were about 2 waitresses, 2 cooks, and a hostess. It is a very small location, I wouldn't say it fits a party. We ordered a strawberry lemonade mimosa, kids pancake, French toast combo, side of home fries, and a pancake combo. For the price, can't beat it! Also, I saw some reviews say they are cash only. This is false. They have added a credit card machine.

If you want some true Mom n Pop eats with that homemade taste, Terrie's is the spot. I have been ordering food from Terrie's since before they moved locations. You can guarantee your food will always be fresh and hot even if you order through delivery apps. Terrie's never disappoints. Anything on their menu is delicious. Whatever you have a taste for. I can't recommend just one thing because I haven't ordered something I didn't like but their Omelette's, grits and French toast are my favorite. But my number one item that I will always reorder is sausage biscuits and gravy! Try Terrie's, you can order for the whole family for half the price of any other breakfast restaurant around.

I enjoyed my experience at this spot. I has a warm atmosphere and the server we had was very inviting. Our food was hot and tasted good. I am giving 4 stars because they have a limited menu. Other than that I will be returning because it is super close to me house :-)

I stopped by today for a quick bite to eat for lunch and everything was wonderful. I decided to try the Club Sandwich with French Fries. This is a real Club Sandwich (properly served with 3 pieces of bread) piled high with Ham, Turkey and Bacon. All of the ingredients were fresh and delicious.The French Fries came out piping hot and they were awesome. You can pay a lot more for food around town and not get the quality that you receive here.

Best breakfast/lunch spot in Norfolk. Great food, great staff, and you can't beat the prices!
