So in love with this place! OMG it's been forever and a day... I have been meaning to write this review since October 2017.Welp - Happy December! I cannot go another day without reviewing this place - magnificent!!I'd always see Facebook postings about their Harvest Event and wondered...is this for real? They offer a long list of features for a small fee in comparison to other places going on in the area... they claim to offer the same thing. But Taylor's prices were unbelievable. Well this year, my suspense was at ease... what they said they offered THEY DID AND MORE!For three children (pre-teens) and one adult, the cost was under $30 and it was well worth every dollar.I am already looking forward to returning next year during the Harvest season.I met a visitor at the farm and she began to rave about how the farm spruces up the event year after year... it was her third year attending. But this was my first time and I was blown away in a great way!We all were able to pick out any pumpkin from the pumpkin patch and the farm supplied items for pumpkin decorating. Pumpkins ranged in sizes but the cost was included in admission - ahmazing!!I met a few workers at the farm and their enthusiasm was evident. I could really tell they enjoyed their job. One lady - it was her first year working at the farm and she had all great things to say. I also met a volunteer at the front and because of her love for the farm life itself...she's now working there.I just felt super warm and over the moon! I think I had more fun than the girls.OMG - pony rides too! Bounce houses! Concessions!Parking was a breeze too! And the hayride, super duper awesome! This review is all over the place, but that's how overwhelming this event was - it was so much to see and enjoy all in a day.We actually picked a great day to visit too - it was not crowded at all and the weather was beautiful! We visited on the last Saturday before the closing date. And I was told Saturdays prior the farm is usually crowded.I am not sure why anyone had less than a five star experience here. But from start to finish our time here was one to remember forever! We will definitely return.Have fun and enjoy life ;)

This was our first time coming here. It costs $7 a person (1 year and under are free) for the Halloween pumpkin patch. Each ticket gave you a free small pumpkin, hayride, face painting, and bounce house admission. Our son had a blast! Everyone was super nice. We got to see the animals in the animal park that included horses, goats, chickens, donkeys, and during the hayride we saw bulls. They even had a section where you could paint and decorate your pumpkin. Great experience!

Totally surprised to see such low reviews! Ok- the pumpkin patch isn't amazing.....I know....but we went for the farm experience. Also- parking signs are CLEARLY marked so sorry that y'all can't read or understand them. Maybe ask who is in charge of an event if there is a special area in which you should park. Because yes, it IS private property. And if you care- this is the largest privately owned property in VA Beach and the owners and workers try hard to preserve their land and keep its integrity. That is why you can see wild deer, horses, cows, birds, etc grazing in the woodlands and pastures. In the contained area they have a good variety of rare farm animals such as the "Babydoll" sheep which were once near extinction. There are several play areas, face painting, food, music and a hay ride. A small pie-pumpkin is free with admission, which is cheap- or free if you are with a party or arranged group. As for service- I only encountered friendly, knowledgeable people who work hard to help even the most unreasonable people. We were greeting at the entrance to the parking, at the entrance to the park and through-out. I imagine if you act hostile and entitled to anyone- you will get a similar response. Please don't shy away from this little treasure- there are far too few left in this country.

I took my son to Taylor Farms for their pumpkin patch and fall kids activities. He had an absolute blast and we ended up coming home with three pumpkins. There was a free hayride that took you to the pumpkin patch. At the pumpkin patch were a few things for the kids to do...a small bounce house with slide and a couple of slides in hay. Not a lot for the younger kids but we had fun none the less.Once we got our big pumpkin, we went to the kids area where you pay to get in. Included in your admission are mini pumpkins, face painting, petting zoo, crafts and more bounce houses (I may be missing more). Overall, we had a great time and will definitely be back next year!

Took my kids here for their howloween event! When we first arrived we were guided all the way in the back of farm into the high grass with some land mines in there. Yeah I'm talking some huge horse crap, so watch out because it is literally everywhere and is hard to see. We arrived a little before 11am and the parking was filled quickly so I would advise to try to come early. There is a lot of dust flying around too due to the cars from driving in and out of the place so make sure to bring your sunglasses and prepare to be "dirty". When you finally arrive to the front there will be a line. At first we didn't know what the line was for until we heard a lady yelling "cash or card". So that line was to actually pay. It's $7 for each person/child. It's to help out the animals and honestly the price isn't bad because you do get to choose a pumpkin, face paint, pet animals and etc. Ok so after you pay for the admission you can either stand in the hayride line "which is really long" or walk inside the actually place. We chose to walk inside, which was so much better because the dust was flying like crazy out there. My kids went straight to the face paint table which there wasn't a line and there were multiple people over there painting faces. So you're not waiting in line forever. After that was done, there was people braiding hair and putting glitter and temporary hair color. Omg, DO NOT GET THE BLUE COLOR. It was stuck on our hands and would not come off after. We literally had to scrub my sons head hard for all of the blue color to come off!! My daughter got purple and pink with glitter and that came out easily. After that we went to see the bunnies, pigs and donkeys. They also have dogs that you're able to adopt. When you walk towards the back you will see the bounce houses, pony rides (which was $4 to ride) and the pumpkins that you're able to pick and color. They had a lot of pumpkins to choose from so you really don't have to rush to the back to grab a pumpkin. Lastly we rode the hayride to see the ponies and it was awesome to see them so close from the tractor. Leaving the place was actually horrible. I hope they try to find a system that works as far as directing traffic because we were waiting for over 30 mins trying to get out of the place and we seen a whole bunch of cars that parked near the front get stuck in the mud/grass. Last tip, when we went it was really cold. Make sure y'all check the weather because it was really chilly today.

I did not like it at all. I was confused when arrived here as to the activities. There was no military discount and adult paid even though I did not really want a pumpkin. The hayride was short and then we were let off to see barely 2 pigs and 3 sheep. I thought there would be more animals. There were some chicken but you can barely see them only in on fenced part because the other one was too dark and the fence had so much spider webs that I had to take my toddler somewhere else. With all the money they make they should at least clean the fence from the spiderwebs since toddlers stand in front of it to want to look at the chickens. There was no petting zoo at all, nor a cow, which I was very disappointed. There are some play houses and slides, but I could easily go to the park and pay nothing for this. I did not get a farm experience or anything like that. I could have taken my son to the park and had the same experience. I would never do this again, maybe I will try other farms. We also had a scanvenger hunt which they handed out and said we could get candy after completing. We asked everyone whom to give those too and the employees did not know anything. They were of useless as they did not know anything. My son did not get any candy for his hard work in completing the scanvenger hunt :(

We arrived early on a weekday for my sons' preschool field trip. I pulled into the farm and attempted to follow the wooden signs that said "PUMPKIN PATCH PARKING" with an arrow. Much to my surprise I hear a horn honking frantically at me and a man waving his arms as if I've just run over someone. I start to go into "momma bear" mode, throw my car in park, and walk up to the pickup truck behind me. The older man (who I'm assuming is the owner) asks what I'm doing. I tell him I'm here for my sons field trip and I'm trying to find the parking lot. He looks at me as if I'm the dumbest being he's ever encountered and tells me that the parking is up front. I ask why the sign that says pumpkin patch parking was pointing the opposite direction, but he doesn't answer me, floors his truck into reverse, and points to where I'm supposed to park. Turns out he forced me to park in muddy hole which they considered a parking area. Myself, my kids, and my stroller were covered in mud and I was so pissed by his attitude that I didn't even want to begin the actual field trip...I had seen enough. But, for those of you who would like to know what this farm has to offer, here it goes:There are chickens, turkeys, goats, ponies, cows, sheep, and horses. The only things my kids were interested in were the wooden play structures. I could have saved myself the 40 minute drive and the mud, and taken them to the park in our neighborhood. They threw a bunch of mini pumpkins in a designated area for the kids to pick one and take one home, but we can do that at Harris Teeter. I would have liked them to be able to see how pumpkins actually grow.... especially since we were at a "pumpkin patch." I will never recommend this place to anyone. People underestimate the power of customer service, and perhaps they should have a sign that states "FIELD TRIP PARKING" or better yet, have someone directing cars into their mud hole.
