Aesthetically pleasing with a tasty-looking menu, I was excited to have lunch here during my trip to Va Beach. I was not disappointed! I ordered a chicken Caesar salad with the multigrain baguette and apple for the side. First off, the woman who took my order was nothing less than exceptional. She took great care in making sure to get my order correct, even offering to have my Apple sliced. She did a great job of addressing questions and proactively pointed out where everything is located in the restaurant which made for a wonderful and standout experience. The food is small batch, responsibly sourced and absolutely delicious. I am here for 2 more days and will definitely be back before I head back home.

I've never been to this beachfront location though I've known about it for years, of course. We stopped in the other night for to-go sandwiches about 30 minutes before closing so we could take them and have a beach picnic. Staff were incredibly nice to us and didn't make us feel rushed or bad at all. The sandwiches were delicious - I always get the Northender and we got some of their delicious fountain soda and chips. My hubs requested the Peter's Pick with sauce on the side but they messed up and put it on his sandwich and didn't have anymore French loaf so asked if that was OK and offered us a free cookie of our choice. They have a great to-go section for snacks/lunch and I've always loved the Taste seasonal and special dinner options. Really impressed with how open, modern and cute this space is inside. Def. a nice lunch spot with a friend.They have a small, attached lot with about 5-6 parking spaces otherwise it's parallel city street parking at the beach. Very clean inside.

Delish! Probably the best sandwich place on the area, especially for a more gourmet, fresh sandwich. Helpful staff. Great rewards program. Nice location just a block off the beach. Plenty of seating, indoors or out. They even offer dune delivery during the summer.

The food is okay - it's totally overpriced. The service is a bit ridiculous. Whatever you ask to be on your sandwich never happens. It's like trying to gamble on what you will get. Even after explaining to the person in front of you that you have had an error with your last sandwich, they actually do the same thing. Not very out-of-towner welcoming, obviously. I always tell myself I will never get back there, because of this ridiculous service, but it's just practical as my sister-in-law lives a block away from this location. It's the worst TASTE location, because of the service in all of VaBeach. My sister-in-law doesn't go to this location at all, because of the service that always seems cordial but who constantly disappoint with no sauce on sandwiches or missing items in your order when you pick it up. Do better! It's almost insulting.

Love everything at Taste! This is the Northender sandwich. It was delicious! Their smoothies look really good as well. Will be back to try more.

My family and I come here almost every time we are in town because we love the food and the atmosphere, and our trip this weekend was no different. We came on a Sunday (5/5/24) on our way out of town, around 3:55, as we did not realize that they closed at 4. The girl at the register was very nice and took our order, and then we went and sat down, still not realizing they closed in five minutes. Another worker locked the door at 3:59, locking out incoming customers, which is when realized that they were closed. We were eating out food quickly and finishing up when the same worker that locked the door came over to the ~10 people in the dining room and rudely told us we needed to "get out" so they could clean. I understand that they needed to clean so they could finish closing, but the way the worker spoke to us was incredibly rude and not the way it should have been handled. I work in a restaurant and I totally understand that it's frustrating when people overstay, but there are many other ways to communicate that to the customer. Being nice can go a long way, and if they had communicated they were closing in five minutes we would've taken our food to go. The whole experience really left a bad taste in our mouth, which is disappointing because we usually have a great experience at Taste. Hopefully management can better prepare their workers on how to handle typical situations like the one today so that girl doesn't tell another customer to "get out."

We ate here 3x during our VA Beach vacation a year ago and I STILL think about how good it is. The food is fresh and flavorful and unique. The chicken salad and beach club were huge hits in my group and we love the market there to grab extras. If I could give them more than 5 stars I would. Very crave-worthy.

I loved this place! Traveled here for work and ended up going 3 times in my 3 days there! I got the hilltop sandwich on a croissant. The house dressing was amazing
