My family and I come to tap-it regularly on Thursday nights for their $2 beers... their food is really good. I always get a southwest burger with a side salad, splendid every time. Their Mac and cheese is also superb. THE ONLY qualm I have with tap-it is the live music performers... don't get me wrong, doc Perkins and friends are all very talented. HOWEVER... the music is far too loud. It's hard to hear myself think or have intelligible conversation with those around. Other than that, this is a great spot to meet for casual drinks or to have dinner with friends/fam. I will always recommend this spot, though if you are sensitive to loud noise, I would steer clear.

We were in search of food and stumbled in here on a Sunday morning. What a pleasant surprise! Service was top notch. Food was perfect! No salt, pepper, or hot sauce needed. It was quiet with a couple patrons when we arrived. Never thought about brunch at a Tap House but we'll definitely eat here again when we're in Chesapeake.

Tap It Local in the heart of the Grassfield section of Chesapeake is a fantastic place to enjoy a great meal. They offer a wide variety of options on their menu that is sure to satisfy even the most discerning appetites.I enjoyed their classic cheeseburger served with Lettuce, tomato and pickles. This is a massive burger that can be difficult to get into your mouth. It's served piping hot and at your desired temperature. For me, it's medium and that is the way it comes out. The French Fries are perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection.

AWe walk in and the music filled the air with upbeat rhythms and a lively crowd. Well the first let down was the lack of chicken for my chicken tacos or my wife's smoked wings but they had fried wings with a large array of various flavors. My family ordered a little of everything she crab soup, wings, burger, a Reuben and chicken finger and cheese curds. The Bartender came over and made my grandsons day by discussing his attire, adornment and hair she commented his flowing hair. Back the food the She crab had a good flavor but lacked thick and creamy consistency normally found in she crab soup, the chicken finger crunchy and juicy, cheese curds were a thumbs up burger was good and my grand son attacked his hot dog with extreme aggressivenessOverall it was just ok food not bad not life changing but see for yourself

The beer was not cold on tap, all the liquor bottles had sauce cups on top of them as if fruit flies were an issue, and the burger was not enjoyable. I cant really mention any positives about this place. Maybe i watched too much bar rescue...

This place is a bar! Adults only! Do not mistake the restaurant being there. 8pm to eat dinner with my 14 yr daughter. We should have left when no one was eating food and there was a small gathering around the bar. Service was ok. Food.. the burger I ordered dripped grease not in a good way, there were chunks of hard fat that I picked out. As we are waiting for our food a song comes on. F$ck this B@tch and it goes on for a min or 2 then someone cut the song. I thought well it's a bar.. they caught it... then as eating our food more graphic songs come on. N word, sexual, p@ssy left at your house, just not appropriate when you have teenagers still in your restaurant. Decide if you are a bar or a restaurant.

The service can be a bit slow... but the good is very good. We normally order the Ruben's w/ onion rings or their potato wedge things. The Brussel sprout appetizer is absolutely delicious. We don't normally eat in anymore due to service and sometimes it's a bit loud but we will order out. They are open late so my husband can pick up on his way home from work and we can eat late night.

The only thing good about this place is the 75 degree ac on a 90 degree day and the pool tables. Better hope you're a mind reader or you're gonna hear "we don't have that" back to back.

Very disappointing. My son ordered the mahi tacos-picture shows two tacos with lots of meat and mango salsa with fries. he's picky so he didn't want the wasabi sauce or the veggies just meat and salsa. So, when we got his food it was literally a piece of fish the size of my finger on a dry tortilla and nothing else. No mango salsa which he did want! And only one taco. Very misleading. I asked for some money back and they refused. The rest of the food was ok at best.
